OK, talked to the guys in the race shop, here's what we've got: 8660 series tube frame Penskes (22/33 position adjustment, ride height adjustment, preload adjust, etc). ----> 16.5" mounting length. <---- That's TUBE FRAME - not XB. (we may have some XB units, checking on that). Both set up for Bryan Bemisderfer's bodyweight - 190-210lb spring. (I think the spring rating is actually 700 or something, but his bodyweight is the 190-210 range - I weigh 195 and it's perfect for me on my S1W, no sag adjust required or anything, I've just been dialing in my damping). Both have complete Penske dyno charts, build sheets, valving information, etc. Like all Penskes, they are USER REBUILDABLE. Unless you wreck and bend it, you'll never have to buy another shock. See http://www.naake.com/penskemotorcycle.pdf for the manual for the shocks (focus on 8660; there's three families in the manual). #1: Used, fresh Penske-rebuilt, charts and papers. Ready to ride (the mate to the one I installed on my S1W, and it's working awesome!). Minor cosmetic blems from one season of racing, but nothing structural or that will affect performance. $600. #2: BRAND NEW, never run. Same shock, maybe some shelf wear from being in the shop, on the trailer, etc., but has never been mounted. $800. Email me AT MY WORK ADDRESS BELOW if interested. Mike in the machine shop isn't scheduled to work weekends but sometimes stops in; I'll try to get the first couple folks right to him before they disappear. jgoetz@hdoffrederick.com I hope both of 'em sell...if I buy a spare, I'll have to buy a frame and motor to build a track bike around it, LOL! |
