I know there are some Uly riders using the Vista Cruise unit. Can someone tell me which Vista Cruise model works? And does it require modification. The various vendors don't have a clue. |

http://store.azmusa.com/cruisconthro.html Use the Yamaha version. A lip needs to be removed from the unit (shown in the pic on the website). Then you drill a hole in the Vista Cruise and the switch housing. Secure with small bolt/nut.

Thanks for the info. and photos FTD. I would like to do the same, but I'm still not entirely clear on which lip needs to come off and how to use a nut/bolt to attach. I can see how you drill a hole thru both to attach, but where does the nut go? Would a machine type screw work? Does the entire assembly fit between the grip and switch housing or does the grip need to moved outward? When you have it engaged, does it crimp down on the throttle sleeve? Thanks. I have an identical set up on my Uly. The lip that needs to come off is the one that would normally wrap around the throttle cable to heep the Vista Cruise from spinning around with the throttle. I used a smaller machine screw, I believe it was an #8-32 with out a nut. I cut the screw off short enough to just go through the Vista and throttle housing. If you drill the same size hole as you would if you were going to tap it. The screw will self tap itself. Then I put a little dab of lock-tite. |

Cyclone, The grip needs to be trimmed ~1/8 " or so. I hear that freezing it first makes this task easier. I just cut mine with a steak knife. It works by clamping down on the throttle sleeve. The clamping force is adjustable. I hope this helps. Frank |
