I would expect that from a non-Buell site, but not the BWB. Well, at least not to this extent. Looks like a hung jury until the sales figures are released. |

"...until the sales figures are released." Please, let's not get another "Sales Figures" discussion going. |

They put white on these bikes to promote you express your selves on it but unfortunately you can do the same on any of the colored plastics. Any color though you do put over white will be alot more brilliant in color though and that is why they probably chose white to some extent. |

I feel sorry for Erik. I just can't believe that he "designed" this. Obviously "creative control" doesn't mean what it used to. |

I think it will probably sell. A sportier ULY? 12 City X? |

Jscott and Others...Sorry about bringing up the unit sales ploy. However, with all the negativity going on around here, that will be the only way the TT is going to prove it's merit in the Buell lineup. Sure, it may not be the bike or bikes you wish Erik & Company would have released, but the timing is really right as it won't be a hindsight move after the KTM's, Duc's and perhaps the Jap's saturate the niche. Still, if you don't want to wait for the sales figures, perhaps the on and off road tests will change the negative first impressions the TT has apparently generated. Any way you look at it, it is a different Buell. Heck, the dimensions and tires even relate to that, which means it will handle slightly different in many situations. Wouldn't it be interesting if a big bore supermoto class was formed and this bike was not only a contender, but a winner. Perhaps, this is the bike the XB9 CityX should have been. Not being critical of the CityX, especially since it has decent decent sales numbers and a loyal following. No doubt about it that Buell is going to be up against the big bore motards from offshore, you need to meet or beat their strengths with a combination of what you have and innovation. Plus, the relatively instant availability of parts at reasonable prices is one of Buell (and Harley's) strong points. I just can't believe how many of the Buellisti here are rejecting this bike in it's introductory stage. That is just a major slap in Erik and Company's face. You can rest assured that between Buell and HD there has been considerable market analysis done before they would consider venturing into the super motard and street tracker niche. Ok, so it isn't a XBRR for the street and isn't a full on sport tourer, but Buell's already exist that partially fulfill those niches. Be it an XB Whatever with soft luggage or a Too Tall Uly with limited steering lock. I guess my approach would be to praise them for what they did and continue to lobby for what it is that you want. However, telling someone their baby is ugly, just doesn't cut it. |

The difference between models is getting smaller and smaller with each new release. Could this be a dealer's showroom equivalent of a close-ratio gearbox? |

Take off the number plates, ignore the name, and it's the replacement for the Cyclone - and that is not a bad thing at all. [fire-retardant suit on] |

Zen...not the Cyclone, The XI. Ok, I'll settle for both but with a more athletic personality for a different purpose. Steve...Not to far from the truth, as the difference in set up for various riding disciplines is relatively close once you have a solid platform and that frame is it. I just wish I didn't have a fetish about seeing more engine. As for now, that is what has me leaning towards the HD XR1200. Personally, wish I could afford both the TT and XR1200. I think the only way that is going to happen is if my bride wants to ride her own bike. LOL |

I'm talking about the white bike with the Uly front end and SS rear end. Is that a test mule or a bike not offered in the States? |

Maybe it's another parts-bin rehash! An XB12/9XSSsTT if you will. |

I like the bike. I am excited with the White plastics but disappointed they do not mean anything. I thought the White Lightning's were traditionally a higher performance offering compared to the standard versions. We know they have the RR heart maybe they should have waited until they could market the transplant. I think its a well executed street bike and the dopest Lightning in the current platform. I wish it were a stripped down race ready roaring thumper but it is cool. But a man who thinks a designer would stand at an International event in front of his dream and not love every moment should probably sleep more. |

Stealth the white plastics do mean something. Look at it as if you were an artist and someone put a nice white piece of paper infront of you. Buell wants to see what your imaginations are. I can say that Erik enjoys seeing what we all have done to the bikes... he's told me so. So I guess this is in some sense him giving us the piece of paper and saying go nuts!!! Although I was expecting a whole different bike myself this bike isn't all that bad. |

Wonder if you could use the advertising film that is used on cars. You could make it look like anything, and with the white background, the colors would really pop. Think of it as Queensreich bikes awaiting adornment. We ain't gettin' a performance difference yet, so we might as well use the bike for customization. If I didn't already have a Uly, I would be buying one of these. |

The Queensryche bikes were a whole other deal. But....ain't noth'n wrong with customizing. |

"I feel sorry for Erik. I just can't believe that he "designed" this." Because of course you on the other hand have accomplished so much world class notoriety for your motorcycle designs. You "feel sorry for Erik"? That is hilarious! |

Bads1, Agreed, but as a color, white is definitely capable and downright begging for modification. |

Thats why white was chosen I'll bet. Primer... not needed. Using candies and the like on top of white will just make the colors pop even more. |

The really cool thing is that the bodywork is dry-erase. Change it as often as you like (or as often as it rains....) I'm going to keep my grocery list on the sideplates: "Beer. Cigars. Pretzels. Condoms. Excedrin..." |
