Yo I have had the same blinking engine light. Got out the manual, and it says that the xb models engine light will blink if the engine is getting to hot.
The engine will go into a skip fire mode untill it cools off. The light will quit flashing. Dont know if that is any help or if it is a bunch of crap. Just got my bike 520miles ago new so still learning.

got on my bike this morning right out of the garage and it is still blinking. Called the dealer this morning and they figure it is probably the tps.
