Well Retired_cop, AARP sent me a email and The Hartford sent me a quoting form for car insurance. Was this your doing? Well the quote turned out well and I am now on board with AARP and The Hartford. I am going to check out the AARP/Foremost motorcycle insurance quote next. Has anyone used Foremost before? |

I have Foremost and I am shopping - 3,000 a year for Buell, BMW, Ducati and Aprilia. The Buell with all the discounts is almost $1100 a year. $100,000/300,000/50,000 liability and $500 deductibles comp and coll. Looking at Harley's insurance program for the Buell. |

When I shifted from the Buell M2 to the Dyna FXD I got a $3.00 refund on my premium. And the Dyna has 1,340cc's, not like that puny little Buell with only 1203cc's. Of course the Buell had 20 more HP and was about 200 pounds lighter. But my Dyna's cool. The perfect "Almost a Geezer Glide". Geezer Glides are next. Jack |

Thanks for the info Roy. I do not know Jack, a geezer glide for me would be something like a turbo Miata. Full dressers do not ring my bell. |

Rich, Of course not. They did not make any sense at all to me either 10 years ago, they only make a little sense now. But in two more years they may make sense to me, who knows. I'll check back on you in 10 years, you might be ready for a Dyna by then even if you're not now. I'm thinking the Dynas are the "sleepers" in the H-D line. Only 85 HP bone stock but throw on a set of Thunderstorm heads, raise the compression a little, add a Mikuni 42, and you got 105 HP. Repeat after me: "I am not going to make a hot rod bike, I am not going to make a hot rod bike, I am not..." Jack |

Slayer - not sure why your PM didn't come through, but you can re-send it directly to ncgirl at earthlink dot net. Lets see if that works! |

Dragon.....I wish it had been me, but I had nothing to do with it. I have been shopping and the insurance is running such a huge difference it is almost funny. I am trying to combine car/bike together for lowest yearly costs and it just doesn't want to work. Some of the bike ins is great but the car is outrageous and the others are just the reverse. I have tried, not in any order, Progressive..Allstate..Nationwide..Foremost..Geico..State Farm....and have wound up with Progressive on the bikes and Allstate on the cars. |

Yea, that was me ahead of you. Why did't you open the throttle on that bike? OH, IT WAS OPEN YOU SAY! Snub, I am a nice guy. Just ask me! Jack, the last HD I owned was a Low Rider Sport. Yes the Dynas are nice bikes, I just want more cornering clearance and better brakes. Feeling the front end go light does not hurt either! Retired_cop, yes I finding the same thing also. I guess one insurance company does not want all my money. Or is it all my risk they do not want! |
