Tramp, How many miles do you have on your Buell engine? Buellistic, How about you? Court, How many states have you crossed on a Buell? Skully, How many races have you podiumed in and how many miles to date do you have on your Buell? I agree with the "heart of a Harley-Davidson" I disagree that Harley-Davidson motorcycles are only about image. I've ridden them. They are extremely high quality machines. Before I had ridden one, I had bought into all the naysaying crap about them. I was truly shocked at the solid high-quality of that 1984 FXR, the first Harley-Davidson I ever rode. It was a great motorcycle! Don't believe the naysayers. Harleys are darn fine motorcycles for the role they are designed to fill, that of comfortable cruising and touring. And they only keep getting better. I am not going to start a pissing match..." Dude, get real! You are a living breathing pissing match. |

"Look at numbers other twins make" Excellent point! Let's do! What does a Ducati SS1000DS make? A BMW R1200S? A Moto-Guzzi V11 Sport? I think maybe one of the above makes more SAE RWHP than the new Buell XB12 models, and it weighs a bit more too. Ain't it wonderful to have information available? |

Damn it Blake you beat me to the punch. My descendants will be riding my Buell long after I am dead, with the original motor. |

A Buell doesn't have enough chrome to be called a Harley. They each appeal to different segments of the motorcyling crowd. I am happy Buell has a different agenda than the designers of the Harleys. I rode Harleys for many years, 8 hours a day 5 days a week. I prefer the Buell. If they wanted to they could badge them as Harley Davidson Buells. I think they are wise to keep a wider separation. In the long run, if you like Buells, I think we are better off too. |

puppy you've been drinking the dog's water again, you make less sense with each post. Being an owner of a Ducati 749S, I can tell you the only way it makes more horsepower is at about 13,000 rpm. My Buell has USEFUL power, all the way up to redline. BEST.... STREETBIKE..... EVER.... |

PS A 748 makes more HP at 11,000 RPM,and that was a 2000 per Sportrider. |

"Jscott, you are asking for trouble." How can I be asking for trouble if the title of the thread is "Best HARLEY ever made..."?

Puppy, I've asked you nicely. Either cease the shit stirring or cease participating here. It is entirely your choice. I think the best Harley-Davidson ever made would have to be the XR750, decades old and still kicking butt on dirt tracks all over America. |

"I think the best Harley-Davidson ever made would have to be the XR750, decades old and still kicking butt on dirt tracks all over America." Those XR750TT's of old were beautiful and potent on the roadracing circuit as well.

A wiser man than myself once said, "consider the source". He also said it's better to be a smart ass than a dumb shit. Being incorporated in California thrice, as I am, my name, address, and phone number are all a matter of public record. You're more than welcome to come on over to my house or place of business and repeat yourself, little boy. Now run along and nip at someone else's ankles before you get swatted with a newspaper. |

My wife was thinking about cross-training to OSI, but she has one of the highest re-enlistment bonus's... I on the other hand, aren't even offered a re-enlistment bonus. OSI seemed like it would be a fun/interesting career... I had a meeting with one of their recruiters in the past. I like my job though... allows me to browse badweb when the mission is slow. Did you ever get my message about hosting video's once I get a clear day to test out the new Ram-mount? |

Yeah I saw that. You know how to use FTP to upload? I'll send you the settings for my guest server. *.wmv is the best format, but I can embed any video player you like. My bro took a dump in one of Saddam's closets. It was one of those black ops, deep cover you know. |

More on OSI, I've seen my bro like one time per year for the last 11 years. Any time something popped somewhere he was "already on the way before it happened". Very exciting, and of course he can't tell me much except for a few funny things that have happened. His wife is a very tolerant woman, but he has finally settled, just this year in Utah. I have the most beautiful niece and nephew, maybe now I can get to know them. |

Yeah, that is the bad thing about the military. My neice (in PA) asked everyone why I didn't come to visit her anymore, they said because I was in Germany, she asked when I would be home, they said in a few yrs, and she said "she'd be an old woman by then" (she just turned 6 this past weekend). My brother setup a website for me, but he (in the army) is in communications (warrant 2) and isn't too motivated to keep everything up all the time. So I have a website sometimes... He sent me some stuff to FTP upload, but I am not too familiar with it. He was "walking me through everything while I was doing it via messenger" Good to hear you brother settled down, life of traveling with the military can be rough, and even rougher on the family of the member. They MUST be a strong family to endure those things. I'm not sure what format my camera uploads in, last night I messed around with it a little bit, but it kept shutting down when I'd accelerate hard ( i turned drop protection off ), so I have some tinkering with the settings yet to do, or I just don't accelerate fast while recording video's... I use the JVC 20gig HD Camera, but even my regular camera when in video mode did the same thing (Samsung A7), so I am not sure what the hold up is, any ideas? Sorry about the thread jacking, but this thread wasn't doing anyone any good anyways, besides maybe raising blood pressure |

I feel no shame in redirecting this thread. FTP up/downloading is easily accomplished using dos commands. I can walk you through it when the time comes, no problem. I can convert your video files to wmv from any other format, likewise to most other formats from wmv. I've heard the only real solution to vibration problems when it comes to video is to have a recording unit hooked to a "lipstick" camera, which is a small CCD on a wire mounted somewhere such as the helmet or someplace on the bike. I've tried using gel pads and such under my camera but it still goes to a blue screen between about 1500 to 2500 rpm. I've thought about sticking my Micro MV cam out there, but my stomach just can't take it. |

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7623075&type=product&productCatego ryId=pcmcat91400050051&id=1130985858450 That is the camera I have, it says it has : Line Input Recording- Lets you import an analog video or audio signal from a TV, VCR or another camcorder and record it onto your digital video tape or disc. Easy way to add fun features to your home videos. But I am unsure of a few things... 1 - would this allow me to hookup a "lipstick camera"? 2 - would I have to have the lcd screen open to record still? 3 - where I would place the camera I have now if I have to keep the LCD screen open to record it, yet isolate it from vibration I guess for now I'll just setup the camera at random turns with my tripod, and edit them together since I can't use the mount I just bought/installed. I'm so angry! |

Lonnie, When you signed up for the BadWeB you read and agreed to this... I agree to treat others as I would hope to be treated; I will only post commentary with a respectful demeanor just as if I am speaking face to face. In all cases I will avoid flame wars and hateful, derisive, insulting or divisive commentary. I understand that derisive personal commentary in any form is entirely unwelcome on BadWeB. I agree with and understand well that those sowing disharmony and malcontent are not welcome at BadWeatherBikers.com. I will not masquerade under multiple usernames nor will I seek to disingenuously seek to conceal my identity by accessing BadWeB through anonymizer type proxy web servers. Should I lose posting privileges, I vow to honor that decision and promise on my honor that I will not seek to regain access through disingenuous means, other username(s), new user account(s). I realize that doing so will constitute a blatant violation of my ISP terms of use and may result in revocation of my internet access. If you like you can read it again, and decide if you're going to go by the rules or not. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/board-profile.cgi?action=register& coppa=ok If you decide not, please just stop posting, no one want to ban anyone. We'd rather just have people grow up enough to care. Thanks, The Management |

For the internet I use windoze, it's the most compatable. For quality I use DIVX. Windoze, compatibility, small file size DIVX for quality, but the file size is bigger. |
