I've got a 96 Buell S2 and I'd like to squeeze some more power out of it. I was thinking that instead of spending money adding little things here and there, I should build it with a goal in mind and get everything together. ie; headwork, stroker, cams, ignition, and carb that are all meant to work together. After looking at NRHS I think I can get 100+HP without loosing the S2's street manners. What do you guys suggest? How cheaply can I break the 100hp barrier? |

Also, apart from engine mods, what else do you guys think are "must have" improvements for the S2? |

I think you'd do better to support our sponsors, the folks who pay the bills here, are active in our community and chime in on technical issues from time to time with their expert advice. Try calling Cycle Rama or Revolution Performance and talking to their experts about what exactly you are looking for, peak HP, or an all around strong runner, or something with more emphasis on big low-end and mid-range. Ask about a 1250 kit along with some head porting, cams and a bigger carb will do it. |

Nallin does good work. All the sponsors do good work. Give then you budget and tell them what you wouldlike to accomplish. They can tell you what to do. Buying a really expensive porting job but not getting the rest of the package is a waste of money. You need to have a plan to maximise the performance you can afford to buy. All these folks can help you with that. |

Thanks for chiming in Scott. Please do so more often. NRHS ain't a sponsor nor do they participate here. Cycle Rama and Revolution Performance are each sponsors who participate here. |

Thanks for the feedback. I took a look at Rev Performance. Will most likely go to them if I decide to do any serious work. |

Who will be doing the work? If a local shop will be doing it, you might get their input if you want their full backing on the results. My local shop uses several places depending on the desired results and prefers CycleRama but did a great job installing my Nallin heads five years ago. |
