How did the TiForce full system do in the exhaust shootout? http://www.inextinc.com/xb9r/tiforcedyno.htm I know the results have been posted but I can't download 44MB so I was hoping someone who has the results can give me a precis. (Message edited by lenb on June 14, 2006) |

Sorry, no TiForce pipe used in the shootout, as per AL at American Sport Bike before the shootout was started. |

I had to pay Al a lot of money so he would not test the Ti-force, and I would be the only one around here with one. Brian |

That header is pretty amazing looking, IMO. Curious why it wasn't tested. |

We thought we were getting one from DaveS. There was one that the Ti-force US rep or something (Rob Hughes?) had sent to Dave for testing purposes, and it was in the test plan. But it didn't make it to Waterloo in time for the test. I would have liked to have tested it, but frankly, I don't know when we would have had the time anyway. We didn't finish as it was until 2:30AM Monday morning as it was, and the Ti-force would have been an engine-rotate install. I'm bummed we couldn't have included it, though. |

Yeah I hear your Ti-Force on the road behind my house almost daily Mcgiver... me and my factory race can are jealous of your headers and the full throaty sound you get. Having ridden your bike, I can't say for sure if there is more or less power but it sure makes the bike look better in my opinion. And it beats the hell out of the "whiffy" sound I get from mine. sorta pricey though |

I would've brought it to Waterloo to be tested, since I only live 2 miles from the dealership but I had already sent it back to Rob before Craig got in touch with me about it. Sorry. |

so is anyone going to test that ti-force? are there plans for a D.L. map for this? i would love to see one. i'm thinking of getting a new exhaust soon. i was going to get one not long ago but decided against it due to the lean conditions, but now w/ D.L maybe it is something in the near future.. |

The results from the Ti-Force would have to be very staggering to make the dollar figure barable. The Micron is 1/3 less in price. |

With 1/3 less in looks as well. |

I say it's ugly just because of all the springs everywhere. Just doesn't give it a very clean loon. |

That is the cleanest loon I have ever seen! And the Ti-Force is the cleanest looking and sounding exhaust of the bunch, in my opinion. I've checked out Al's micron on his uly and it is very nice but with what I know now, I wish I had A) known about, and B) spent the money on the Ti-Force. And for the record, I like the springs. It means no welds to crack. Innovative is the word I might use. I was a buell newbie when I got my exhaust and just didn't know what else was out there. Plus I was on an impulse buying spree at the dealership so I blame it on that too. If only I had discovered American Sport Bike sooner! |

ohhhh, ok my bad... It's doesn't have the cleanest LOOK... Man I've been really slow lately. No welds to repair, true, but I dunno, how often is that a problem?? |

We used the Ti Force on our race bike last year, but could not keep the can together. One full day on the dyno will eat the packing and then the can explodes like a Coke Can that's been setting in the sun. We could not get any help from their Tech Support and were forced to buy complete systems to get new cans. Dealer cost is still at $1,100 and I bought four during the race season. The system made a good 118 RWHP with about 80 ft/lbs of torque, but was not smooth when it hit the cams it came on like a switch. We now have Micron as a sponsor and the engine made 120 RWHP with 84 ft/lbs of torque and very much smother coming out of the turns. ... Terry |
