So, if you haven't seen my thread about painting my bike, I painted it flat black. I had a dark smoke double bubble on it before I cracked it and rashed my plastics. I am thinking about painting the stock windscreen the same flat black. Has anyone painted their windscreen? How did it come out?

No_Rice did his in drab olive green too. I don't think he used any primer.
It was probably the most photographed bike at homecoming. Green army bike with NOS.
(kind of annoying when a $5 paint job steals the show, right Tim? ;))

Rough up and clean thoroughly with RM 9000 wax remover / cleaner and scotch-bright pad

spray with any adhesion promoter..2x heavy coats

do not touch it with your hands before priming

Use RM power filler primer with hardener and flex agent 4:1:1...

wet sand with 400 grit

then get the best Glassurit paint you can afford...paint it

Clear coat with heavy flattening agent
or gloss with hardened if you want any gloss.
