Hi,

I'm interested in locating a dealer for a XB12Ss in the North East preferably in Maine NH or Mass. Going on to the dealer sites, I don't see many or no Buells stocked and nothing about good pricing like down south.

I'm working outside the country now and am coming back for vacation in a couple of weeks and would like to do some testing and if it is as good as you guys make the Buells sound, to buy. I ride an older I4 Beemer now , K100RS which I'm keeping.

Anyone have any suggestions on well stocked and/or dealers that are willing to drop the list prices?

Thanks,
Glenn

Gengras in east hartford, CT . i travel all the way from long island to deal with them.they know there stuff and don't treat you like a 2nd class citizen. they are very pro buell.

if you do go there, make sure you talk to Rob in service. his knowledge of buell will surprise you. and tell him i said hi.

Thanks Brian,

They're in striking distance. Were you able to get anything off of retail or am I dreaming?

You can definetly get away from retail, they are not that popular with any group other than those of us for some reason. Sportbike kids aren;t interested and neither are middle aged yuppie HD riders, they are all about the show, enthusiasts are few and far between compared to the squids out there.

A couple of years ago I stopped in at Big Moose HD, in Portland. They seemed like a good bunch of bananas.

I would give them shot and see what they can do for you.

Thanks everyone. I had looked at the Meredith web site other the weekend, but other than having Buell in their name, I couldn't find any Buell presence on the site. Now I know better and will give them a visit. Big Moose in Portland is the closest for me so I'll go there first. I'm hoping that at least one of them has the XB12Ss. I may even try a Ulyses out too.

Thanks!

Sheldon's is closest to me and they already sold out all of their XB12x bikes.
They don't have too many accessories and they didn't dedicate very much room on the floor to the Buells
but they have some demo bikes and their service department seems to be straight.

i have had NO luck w/ sheldons. the last time i went there for a tps reset they messed it up, went back to get it fixed and they say it was not the tps. so i have them check the bike over. they gave it back to me and informed me my warenty was null and void due to my muffler and filter system. (tps was done correctly 2nd time around though) that was my LAST time I went there for any service work. i'll do it myself!

I bought my bike at Precision HD/Buell in RI. They treated me okay, but I felt like I was getting snookered the whole time I was there. I bought my bike, and haven't been back since.

FUNNY...i went to precision when looking to buy, and got the same impression. seem a little SHADY. so i went to sheldons w/ 6k cash in my pocket looking to buy my bike..it was such a circus to get a demo ride over there, and i felt be-littled when asking questions from the sales dept.(harley rider for sure..real putz to boot) that i ended up leaving. so i started calling around for a good "buell friendly" dealer and i ended up going to EDDISON, N.J. for my bike and PETE gave me a smoking deal and all kinds of free stuff w/ my purchase. they went ABOVE AND BEYOND my expectations. i can't even say how well they treated me. okay i can say....it was AWSOME!!! more dealers should be as dedicated to buells. well worth the all day trip to get the bike.....my .02

I wish I had known that when I was buying mine Eric. Sheldons would have been a two hour trip for me. I was paying cash as well, and I wanted to set everything up over the phone. I wanted to walk in, hand them the cash, and have them hand me the keys. They wouldn't even deal with me over the phone. They kept telling me I had to come in to discuss anything. They acted like I needed them. Not how you treat a customer if you ask me.

Screw that, I took my money elsewhere.

When I wanted to have the first service done at Precision, it was almost a month wait for the appointment, and then they said I would need to leave it for a week.

So now I do all my own work.
