That's a subject that has a lot of info in the KV, here are a couple of links the the subtopic area where a lot of it can be read: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/3842/6804.html?1146480564 http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/3842/7406.html?993955591 I have a 2000 M2 also, here is a link to how I made up a catch can of sorts out of a disposable gas filter. I'm still using that system, it keeps my air cleaner free of oil and spooge and it works fine for me. I'll replace the filter ($4 +/- each) occasionally. http://users.adelphia.net/~jackerbes/Buell/breather.html I don't have a Forcewinder. In the photos above I had the stock airbox but now I have an AFT billet air cleaner you can see in my profile photo. Good luck with that! Jack (Message edited by jackbequick on May 06, 2006) |

I've tried a number of different catch-can setups, filters, oil/air seperators, and I gave up. I got a puke tube that just pukes it out the side,,,EPA wouldn't be digging on it. YMMV,,,works for me. G2 |

Not hard to fabricate a proper catch-can. I made mine for less than $5 and it works as well as any you can buy. Check about halfway down this link to see it. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/3842/128427.html?1116420688 It would be a good idea to do some research in the archives to get an idea of how you want to procede. There are literally hundreds of ideas that will work. My favorite is one that uses a hidden tomato can. |
