Croix is over for another year. Here's some photos. Aaron, SteveP and Buell rep. Dinner. Ferry. Aaron and Hans. Grizzly replacing a leaky primary gasket. Rocket and Aaron dicussing dyno readings.... Rob, Hein and Grizzly. Me and Aaron. Meeting SteveP and Sandy in Belgium. Pitstop. Rob's back in progress. Rocket replacing Dymag with one lent to him by Charley. Sandy's stroker. (Nice girl from Wales and I didn't get a picture of her. Stupid.) Finally, my tyre loses the Michelin man. Tourists. View from hotel window. PPiA |

You guy really trashed some bikes and drank alot of beer, judging by the way Aaron is pissin in the weeds. How much will it take to get one of those Highly-Dangerous shirts from Rocket? |

Mate, we had an excellent time. I think Rocket has to find lots of those shirts because we want them too. PPiA |

I would like to thank Hein, Peter, Grizzly, and all the rest of the guys for helping me get to Croix. After putting about 2500 miles on my bike doing a trip down to St. Tropez and back, my breaks were worn enough not to let me ride the track. Still had a good time. There is nothing like doing over 100mph trough Belgium and France with a large pack of Buells. Here are some more pictures. Rocket's Wheel exchange. Ask him. AAron, Grizzly, Peter showing off things you can find in Amsterdam Peters shifter. There were many lost on the track

Here some pictures of the piston that made my S1w look like a "blast" and stranded me 10Km below Lille on my way back from Croix. I was picked up by the Dutch Buell crew, great service ! /image{cilinder} /image{piston} /image{side of piston} |

well pete , i thought about it and about 10 mile before it happend i filled up the gastank at a small gasstation . could it be bad low octaan gas in combination with a pretty tight jetting ? |

Another thing i can't quite get at this moment is the deformed cilinder. did it happend before the piston burning or due to the piston burning. I haven't checked the heads properly , a leaking exhaust valve could also be a item. Any ideas ?? |

Charley, Not really, but taking a guess from the pictures it looks like the piston has broken away more than it looks like it has melted? Maybe the cylinder deforming from heat and picking up the edge of the piston? PPiA |
