I'll be showing up at Nick's place late thursday. Probably right around six if I remember my itinerary correctly. Can't wait to put some faces with some names . |

~LOLOL~ Court! I haven't sped him around anywhere in his wheelchair yet.. and exactly who gets the time when he does? Cuz ya know..I'm actually the driver! hehe! He has to go where ever he's put since he can't wheel himself with those broken shoulders, rib and back. We are going to get him into his turtle shell and try to get him into his wheelchair tonight. Take it for a test drive around the house and through the various doorways. I'm sure you all can take care of yourselves... I just thought I'd give a heads up on the pooch. He'll be all loving after you've been in his house a while and he sees no one is gonna hurt his daddy. Then of course, he'll want to play! ~L~ Lucky you guys! Stan and his friend TP came out this morning and acid washed the cement around the pool and will come back in the morning to stain it. This rocks! It'll all be done before the actual BuellB-Q starts. Ohhh and that problem with the ice maker.. fixed! Nick's buddy from work came by today and took the block of solid ice out of it. Good grief! I felt so stupid! Lafayette showed up this morning, dropped off his stuff and was off and running. I'll call about the gas grill and drinks this evening. Anything else? Nick is like a little kid, he's so "stoked" about meeting all of you! Me, too! Have a great one and if you are headed this way.. be super careful!! Sammie |

Ohhh yeah, Court.. I printed the messages for Nick last night and he saw the T-shirt. Yep.. he wants one! ~LOL~ An XL should do it unless they run small, then a XXL would be great. I'll pay you when you get here. Thanks so much! Sam |

Sammie, It sounds like Nick is going to be in a wheelchair for a while. I would recommend trying to find a "Quickie" wheelchair. They are made by a really great company, come in sizes and are extremely light weight. they do design racing wheelchairs also. A high quality wheelchair can make a lot of impossible things possible. Nick wants to tell everyone to please be careful. There's already been a biker killed in Daytona that was rear ended by an SUV, while sitting at a red light. His wife was air lifted out and is in critical condition. |

A biker's biggest road hazard - inattentive cagers. It's sad to hear there's already been a fatality at Daytona. |

Hey Crusty, It looks like you will have company at the KOA. It looks like C3 goes camping. We will send out a scout to set up the camp site Thursday night/Friday, and the rest of us will be there Friday night. |

Hmmm.. Say Sammie, what would you say about us tying a rope to the wheel chair and to the rear of a bike and taking Nick for a ride of sorts.... Just kidding of course. |

Ha-ha! No hot rodding for Nick! Looks like we'll have the gas grill tonight and we will still have the Pepsi from Allegiant Air. Last night Nick and I got him into his turtle shell and sitting up on the edge of the bed. He sat there for a little over half an hour. Progress!! Today we are going to try to get him to stand up. We aren't going to rush this. I may have to wait till I have a couple of you big guys here, just in case. We'll see how he's feeling and maybe try to transfer him to the wheelchair. He's pretty weak in the legs and sitting up wore him out, but boy was he pleased with himself! And for good reason, he's doing things that he wasn't expected to do yet. Oh.. just a quick note...the screen door (cage) on the front door has to be pulled until it clicks to assure it's closed. he-he! Lafayette brought night lights so no one should get lost at night. Talk to you all again later. Hugs all around. Sammie |

Court, Just checking in after the last few nights of finishing off base gasket replacement surgery. That BLACK shirt is AWESOME!!! Hope to be lucky enough to get one (XL) when I see you in Daytona! It will become my new favorite T-shirt! I might even have to figure out how to get a spare to wear once the first one is worn out... VERY, VERY, VERY SWEET! 1313 |

"Lafayette brought night lights so no one should get lost at night." Way to go LaFayette! I'd hate to be stumbling around in the pitch dark and end up peeing on some poor slumbering BadWeBr. Not too late to change your mind Sammie. |

Well, just got in from the Iron Horse, it's early, but we are headed back to Savannah tomorrow until race weekend. I will have to say that the best part of the weekend was getting over to Nicks and meeting him and Sammie. Great people. Nick seems to be doing well, and they are both excited about all of you coming this week. I know it is going to be a party. We saw a lot of Buells and that made me happy. Court, I'm hoping that you can save me a shirt, I will definitely be at the Buell Tent for the race and I'm hoping to be at Nicks for the apris race BBQ. It's been a wild 4 days!!! |

Midwayav8r, I returned from Bike Week yesterday (3/5) to Savannah also. By any chance were you passed on 95 by a bright yellow S3T? BTW for all who care Bike Week opening weekend rocked, spectacular start for the week. Perfect weather, little nippy riding down and back, but awesome! As usual, Buell hospitality tent personnel were jerks, disinterested and completely rude to owners. Tried to get information on a Ulysses Sunday, was informed they were about to eat lunch, could I come back later? Ridiculous. Tent was closed early on Saturday, all other makers were open. Of course, that's to be expected of Buell. I love my bike to death (99 S3T, real men ride tubers), but hate the company. Sorry for the rant, great Bike Week so far. |

As usual, Buell hospitality tent personnel were jerks, disinterested and completely rude to owners I would say that is NOT to be expected of Buell. Looks like the Elves will have to fix this. I know they are listening. |

I've been to 5 or 6 Buell Hospitality tents over hte years, and have never seen treatment like that (not disbelieving, you understand, just surprised) keep in mind, that tents are often manned by local dealerpersonnel as well as factory folks . . . could be expectations weren't shared (as they should be crystal clear to all and sundry), or ignored? I'm thinkin a bad day at Dayton (and the Buell tent) beats a good day at work in Chicago signed envious in Chicago |

>>>Of course, that's to be expected of Buell. That is an inaccurate statement. You may be disappointed, but that is NOT to "be expected" from Buell. Buell has exceeded the wildest dreams of all manufacturers and achieved unheard of heights in getting close to, listening to and responding to it's customers. You've trusted Buell with your hard earned money and confidence. They value and respect that. You have every right to expect to be treated in a courteous and civil fashion. Buell has excelled at this also. I'd like the details of your encounter, please drop me a NOTE with the specifics. I bear the good news that Buell does not operate that way and I can fix that in a heartbeat. By the way, if you are back this week, I'm going to be doing hospitality starting Friday and I am EXCELLENT at it!. Court |

That's better than I did, I drove all over Daytona and never did find the Buell Tent. I must be blind. I thought it was going to be at the race track. However, I went by the new Harley Dealership location. Lot's of Buells, no sales people to speak of. Asked a sales lady in clothing where I could find the Buell Bike Week Tshirts (I can be a smart alec), of course they didn't have any, furthermore, they didn't have any Buell clothing, other than two jackets and some $60.00 ($20.00 value) gloves. I didn't mention previously that it was neat getting all the looks at the different venues when I rode in on a "crotch rocket", and everyone noticed it was a Buell. Roach, I didn't see you on the highway, but I do recall seeing a bike like yours in Daytona! Planning on riding back down for the race on Saturday morning. Have we firmed up meeting at the Buell Tent and what type of ticket we are supposed to get??? |
