I have an '06 XB12Ss First, I am reading about having to get an ECM once a muffler is installed. But then I read if the muffler is installed, you have to change the ECM if you remove the valve. So what benefit would you have by leaving the valve in with a performance muffler other than keeping the ECM stock? All I am looking for is the sound, not really into big hp numbers. Will not be doing anything with the air box either. I just don't want to lose power, that's all. Next, what muffler will give me the biggest bang for the buck? Is the Jardine going to be enough, or is that junk? It seems that is one of the least expensive ones for this bike. One last question is about the TPS. Does this need to be replaced too? Thanks for the help. This seems to be the only place that I can find any info for the newer Buells. They aren't popular enough to just do internet searches and come up with good hits for tech info. Best bang for the buck is the complete race kit. It comes with the muffler, ecm and high flow air filter List is 654.95 Badweb price from me is 589.45 The valve you are talking about is in the stock muffler so if you change the muffler, you can't keep the valve. Once the race kit(or other combo of muffler, race ecm and filter) is installed you will need the TPS reset. I am not at work today but if you want, call me tomorrow and we can talk about your different options to get what you want. Dave 1-866-757-1651 ask for Dave in the sales dept. |

Just thought of something. The bike is brand new and we got the extended warranty for it. Will this void the warranty? |
