I was wondering if any of you have tried the aggresive settings for your suspensions. Kinda wondering how well it would work on the Uly. Here it is for those who may be wondering about what I'm talking about.

I have thought about it, but I want to wait until the weather warms up so the fork oil won't be so thick. |

I don't believe that chart is for the Uly, is it? If it is the one I'm thinking of, it was developed by Shawn Higbee for the XB models when they had 41mm forks. I used it for my 03 XB9SL and it really settled the bike down, but never attempted it on the CityX because of the different forks and there's even more difference in the XB12X's suspension. |

I run that on my City X and found it to improve handling a ton. Just an idea for the Uly people to see if they want to try it and let us know how well it works for them. I just read about the diving when breaking and what not and thought I'd ask to see if anyone's tried this yet. |

I made that chart from the last issue of Battle2Win. I think the lower part would work for adjustments, just start with the settings from your owners manual. |

Don't mean to sound ominous BUT.. Before you start lowering the front and raising the back "to improve steering quickness," put a steering damper on. The rest of Shawn Higbee's settings & recommendations inludes the settings for your steering damper. Suspension and steering damper settings go hand in hand for those doing radical experimentation. +1 on Eor's comments as well |
