I will admit wholeheartedly to being a pundit and decryer this time last year. However it was born from a desire to see our bike in the race and never mean spirited. This year is looking as though it will be worth the wait. Go Buell, go Hale, and go whoever else has/is signing up!! |

With all this news, have we heard what Hoban's has planned for the year? |

I too, was one of those pundits, and if my meager contribution helped push it along in even the most microscopic amount, I do not repent it. What really set me off, of course, was the article in CW that built the Buell racer up quite a bit, and suggested it would be fun watching it race at Daytona, and then of course it didn't show, which made CW look foolish, after they had donated all of that free press. BUT..let's forget that, it's another year, and all is forgiven. |

I don't agree that Buell is a totally autonomous and separate company from H-D, without any expectation of financial support. Buell's latest CEO was appointed by H-D and it's completely owned by H-D. I see the relationship as more akin to Saturn and General Motors. Vonsliek implied a possible collaboration between Buell and Porsche. If H-D has been satisfied with Porsche's performance, I'd say it would be worth Buell's time and effort |

Yes HD owns it and they can do with it as they want including who run's it for them but if HD has to put there profits into Buell to make it stay afloat then what do you think the right move would be?? Porche helped with design of the V-Rod powerplant. Again thats HD not Buell. I'm not saying they can't I'm just saying they won't........yet!!! |

We will be in Daytona both weekends, different capacities each weekend, both involved with racing, that is about all I am at liberty to say right now! Our plans as HBR is to race some AS?A and some Formula Extreme AMA(especially Road America for homecoming!) We are just picking and choosing our races again this year as we want to be AMA, but that costs more than we are able to afford right now. So we continue to try get our sponsors the best bang for their buck by picking our race tracks and races. Again, Buell was present in Daytona last year, but due to circumstances out of our control we just could not compete, that story has been stated many times though, but I will continue to be the police on the "Buell was not there last year" thing. A lot of people tried very hard last year and some are still paying for it. |

Hobros, Yes I know you tried. Not your fault how things went. I just think there should have been more Buell teams there, so not all of the eggs were in one basket. Hopefully, that will not be a problem this year. |

I agree Xlcr. fingers crossed. I am also looking forward to another year, 2005 rocked, of incredible success from the Buell contingent in the ASRA (formerly Formula USA). Should be a GREAT year for Buell fans if half of the rumors hold up. |

Just spoke with my local HD owner yesterday. He's attending the dealer mtg. He said everything hits the internet like as soon as the dealer meeting releases. So, check the news releases around noon! |

We have 12 hours or so before we find out so lets all take a few guesses. I think we will see an "Out of the Box" FX Racer in the mold of the S/E V-Rod for sale to dealers. And I bet none of us could build it for what it will cost. RWHP some where north of 150? ... Terry |

I agree with Terry, If I were to guess, it's an out of the box FX racer that none of us could afford, but tricked out with the best of everything. I just hope whatever it is they bring it to the CLeveland IMS show next weekend so I can drool all over it. (Message edited by xb9 on January 21, 2006) |

We have been building a new race bike over the last few weeks, and been in contact with Henry Duga, Rich Cronrath and Hal's Speed Shop. None of them have even made the slightest hint that maybe we should wait a couple of weeks, or that something is coming that will be available to the public, and I think maybe they would have if it were true. This leads me to think that what may be unveiled is the new 'factory' Daytona FX weapon that will be run by Hal's & Innovative (and maybe some others), but don't think we'll be able to buy one. But I still can't wait to see it |

If the introduction is as dramatic as the Screamin' Eagle Destroyer this past summer in Denver, then not only will we see a new bike, but perhaps the individual who will be piloting it. That is, if is going to be an FX Racer out of the box I've been down here in Texas for the past 3 days, and am about to rupture somewhere due to waiting! |

I thought it was Sat, but maybe today. ... We were going to step up our effort in AFM F4 by building a second bike as a backup. There was a strong hint for us to save our money and wait until the end of January. ... So we are waiting???? ... Terry |
