I've been lurking here a while now so I thought I'd go head and sign-up. I just ordered a Uly and am trying to learn as much as possible, this place is a wealth of information. I was able to test ride a Uly at biketoberfest (Daytona) and knew I had to have one. my current rides are a FJR1300, RocketIII and a FLHTPI (for work). Anyway thanks for all the great info and I hope I can contribute once I get my hands on one, Kevin |

Kevin, did not you learn anything from this forum? First mistake: you bought black (orange is faster). Second mistake: you signed up on this forum ( you will figure this one out yourself). Third mistake: you bought a Uly ( you are now becoming a Buell orphan). WELCOME TO THE FOLD. Post often or we will pull your membership! (Message edited by dragon_slayer on December 15, 2005) |

Hi Kevin, Welcome to the fold, I think black is beautiful, Dragon you just like to look like a shooting flame as you overtake those road blocks. Have heaps of fun when you get your bike and look forward to hearing from you. |

Kevin, I also demo'd a ULY at Biketoberfest and recently took advantage of Daves' Fly-n-Buy promo and bought one (black). I am from Orl. and ride the first Sat. of every month with the BRAG out of the Lakeland shop. You need to join in once you get your new Buell. Where did you order yours from?? Frank |

Kevin27, Really cool that you have such a diversity of motorcycles. I'll be very interested to here your impressions of the Uly versus your other bad motorcycles. |

Bindy, yea, flames, I think you are on to something! Let's see, red and yellow flames on the orange fairing and air box cover! Hey maybe on the orange part of the seat cover! YEA, see what happens when I come out to play! |

Welcome to the Bad Web Kevin. Do your self a big favor and pay no attention to Dragon Slayer, just between you and me.....I thing he has had way too much of the spiked Buell-Aid. I do however have to admit (with Bindy) that red leather flames sewn onto the orange part of the seat would kick but!! Of course anyone can buy an orange seat! |

Ftd, I'm over on the left side of Florida, but was wondering what time the ride leaves from Lakeland on the first Saturday? It's only an hour or so from here so maybe I'll see you there. |

2old, 8:30, checkout STORM FRONTS Tampa for more info. Those rides are a lot of fun. You should give one a try. Frank |

Snub, just the opposite, not enough Buell-Aid. BTW, the sale of orange seats are not allowed to the owners of black Ulys. Erik said so! |

Thanks for the warm welcome. I almost ordered the orange but I plan to deck it out with carbon and I'd be left with the seat and front piece still orange. I ordered it from a friend who runs a shop in Nebraska, my mom works there and I've known them my whole life so I'm getting a good deal, plus It's a good excuse to visit my folks. I plan on riding back to Florida when I pick it up in in late January so that should be a nice first "adventure", Kevin |

Stop the presses! I could'nt take it any more and bought a black one today, not as cheep as I was going to get it for but I don't have to go to Nebraska to get it plus it came with all the bags attached. Now if it just does'nt rain tomorrow I'll be golden. |

Yes anoother brother of the faith. Happy festivus to you to. some say the orange is faster but we all know that is just not true. i guess that would fall into the same category as santa claus and the easter bunny. |

Naw, the truth is that orange Ulys are bought by people with more colorful personalities. People with dull, monochromatic attitudes lean toward the black. |

I thought Erik said the Orange one was for those who tend to get lost in the bush to help the search and rescue parties find them, and that Black was for the Stealth Riders...he told me to get a black one, he really did! Welcome Kevin and Ftd, welcome to the madness, I couldn't wait either Kevin, and wasn't disappointed. (Message edited by opto on December 26, 2005) |

I think Erik must have a strange sense of humor. Calling the "Yellow" paint job, "Barricade Orange". Like that's going to fool somebody! From the 60's: Black is Buell-T-full. |

BLACK: description; lack of color. ORANGE: description; we do not need no stinking description! Grimace308, welcome and GO FOR IT! Just read all the postings and be forewarned about the madness you are getting in to. What does not kill you will make you strong! |
