I've found a new V&H slip-on for a very attractive price. How much noise do these put out? Are they as well made as the Supertrapp or D&D? I'm looking for something quieter than the D&D I have. If the V&H isn't, then there is no reason to buy it. This would go on a 02 Cyclone. |

I do not know if it is quieter than a D&D, but the V&H on my 99 M2 is quieter than a Drummer on Dave's XB9S and not as raspy as Brankin's Supertrapp on his S2. To me the V&H idles with a good rumble but its not what I call loud, though you can here it. It has a good sound. As the revs increase its bark is decisively louder. You definitely will not sneak up on anybody but at no time does the noise level get too loud. I do not know if that helps, but that's my two cents. (Message edited by m2nc on September 11, 2005) |

Supertrapp on my S2?!?! That was nearly 9 years ago, and I didn't even know Carlos then. My S2 has the Buell Pro-Series Race Muffler on it, just to clear things up. Hope it helps (somehow) with your decision. 1313 |

Woops, I thought it had a SuperTrapp. I need to look closer next time I see the bike. |

I couldn't imagine wanting anything louder than a V&H. My V&H is pretty loud - it probably needs repacking, though. |
