I was also interested to see if the new yellowish orange rims are adaptable to the old tube frame type bikes ! I know it can be done ! But is that with alot of work or bolt on capable? |

I checked into it a while back, easiest way is probably to replace the entire front end shocks with triple clamps and everything. I think the back end will just bolt on but that's not gospel. I think the new rims would look great on a tuber but I can't justify the expense on my bike. Check the knowledge vault, wheels and tires, there is an old thread in there. -Mike |

Woah, Cool Idea! I think an XB front end, wheels, caliper/rotor and swing arm would rock! Can it be done? Anyone have experience and do some measurements? |

Den, Skip the swingarm. If the rear axle is too big you can probably open the spacer up without too much trouble. Too small, maybe just shim it? It's been done obviously. |

You know what? Those are S1/X1 forks on the front of that. Unless they look identicle to XB forks, in all but the axle measurement.... Chase |

"...Not my bike but it's owned by a friend of mine (at least for the time-being), 1313..." Who'd be foolish enough to sell a bike like this?
