tramp, i've got my crayons out hammer, i'm guessing 8 at this point (in order to meet bigblock by 9) bigblock, beg, plead, and apologize (i'm not sure why, but always apologize). my wife is a sweetheart but it can often seem as though we are "moving an army" we are actually thinking of barbequeing out at lake tomahawk (that way we don't have to do the special guests are coming cleaning in to appear as though we don't live with 4 dogs and two children) |

Last I checked 218 still closed. their slides tend to last awhile. Mike- Do you mean tomahawk out between Hulsetown rd. and 94, washingtonville/blooming grove area? That's really close to me. Nice fishing as well. My better half bartends in Goshen, Sunday PM.... Let me know around what time you were going to BBQ. |

yes the same tomahawk, my family lives a block away. i can just see it now, they'll think the mongrel hordes have invaded (whats in your wallet!) i figured early afternoon for bbq, bigblock has to make it back to brooklyn, and my bud john works the night shift at hunts point so not too late is best for them. we'll have quite a crossection of bikes; sv650, zx636, m2, xb9r, superglide, s2tr/xr650l, should be comical. we need a route, bigblock has never seen our area. ideas... mountain roads, shawangunk res.,??? keep in mind we're starting from perkins. |

Great time Guys! Erika and I had a total blast! We loved the company and the food and the riding! Again, thanks a million! We got in at right about 6:20, so maybe a few minutes over 2 hours from your house, door to door. The traffic was not bad, atleast the speed limit to the GWB, then stop and go overr the GWB, and moving OK for a Sunday evening on the West side, and smooth sailing over the Brooklyn bridge and home! I'd say we were pretty impressed with everyones two-up riding on big bikes thru the twisties today, what a blast! Can't hardly wait for next time, see ya when I get back from CA! Ciao, Ray |

hammer, definitely have to figure out the pics, there were some cool bikes there. i don't think i've ever seen a magni before except in the mags. it would be cool to get a pic each week of the bike that "he" brings, i didn't get his name. so far he's brought out the brian & ghezzi furia, a ferrari yellow magni, and a bimota that i had never even seen in a magazine. apparently he also has a bimota tesi (do a search on that one, it's pretty wild). |

bigblock, its all about the traffic, erica said you made it to bear mtn in a hour this morning. the point at which i left you should have been about even with the top of bear mtn as far as distance is concerned. five minutes on 17, 7 minutes over the hill to the traffic circle and onto the pallisades. we'll have to do it again, maybe run 301 into carmel and back into coldspring for lunch at the depot (they have tables 10ft from the tracks where express trains run by at 110mph, no kidding sounds kinda crazy but its really cool). |

Hi Tramp, no prob, we made great time and weren't the last to arrive. Something to consider(if you weren't already planning on it) would be a belt at the same time, since you 'll have the frame spread...maybe some swingarm bearings, too. Mine seemed fine when I did my iso and belt, but my bike has a measly 26,000 mi on it now, what's that, 10% of your mileage!? Hope to meet you next time I'm up... |

one more thing- please don't post any more shots of the historic hudson valley- i'm trying to proliferate the myth that there are NO scenic vistas/ragin' twisties w/in an hour of Manhattan (the center of the ridge in the background of the posted shot is right about where i live- if you look real close, sugar loaf mtn. is poking up there) |

Hammer: Great pix, thanks!! I edited your posts to make the pix stack on top of each other, it's much easier to look at 'em that way. You can make 'em do the same thing by hitting "enter" a couple of times after the picture-posting gobbledegook comes up--that puts a blank line or two in between the pix. rt |
