Buell/BRAG needs to look back at some of the events that drew people in in the past. The American Sportbike Festival that used to run in conjunction with the races at Willow Springs was always well attended and a fantastic experience each time I went(every time it was held)The BRAG All Cal Tour was a fantastic time and very well planned and executed,Reg Kittrelle's Blue Groove events and the spin off Blue Groove Northwest were all well attended.Old Hiway 40 Motorcycle Days was a great multiple race venue in the beautiful Lake Tahoe area and drew all sorts of Buellers. On a good day we have up to 80 or more bikes at the A.S.B.N. meetings with Woz at the mike.Tons of goodies to give away from dealers,Dusty from Custom Chrome,DKF Performance, etc. Fuell has been so-so lately.I was especially disappointed with the recent issue highlighting racers.Aaron Wilson got a nice blurb(and rightly so) but my 4 records and years of effort were overlooked. And this after having written several articles for Fuell about all of our efforts. |

Jackson is okay, I lived there for about a year or so. You're probably looking at the little motel in town, don't know much about it except that it was for sale a few years ago so it may be under new ownership by now. Not sure how it would be for parking a bike in the parking lot. There are a couple of bars in town, one with 2-5 Harleys usually parked in front of. Grocery store on the east end of town. Gas stations in the middle and west end of town. McDonald's on the west end, and a few other eating places on the west side of the freeway. Watch your speed in town as they like to ticket there. Hwy-P parallels the freeway and will also take you up to WestBend. Hwy 60 runs east/west and will take you out to Hartford where you'll find the Mineshaft restaurant and bar and music venue. Any more questions just speak up, we're out in Port Washington. |

Well it looks like I will be an unofficial attendee. My wife works a four day trip (out of town) Tues. through Fri. that week. I will be bringing to whole family to the races in the cage on Saturday, but not Sunday. So I will just pay our way and watch you guys eat the good. |

I called mine in today. Only there for Thurs tho, back to Ottawa(Ill) as the State HOG rally is being held here and since I pushed for the rally to be here......I know , I know I'd much rather be with all the Buellers, and I'm sure gonna miss the Battetrax and "coachin Fiery to lean just a little more!" And the races, I'll be thinkin of ya at the track doin the pace laps while I watch the slow ride or throw the tire over the post or whatever..... next year I'll be there. Se ya at the factory. |
