It will be the same this year as I usually get nailed once a year by this dang desease. Hopefully, I can keep it in check long enuff to attend. |

Yo, Al, it seems that since we didn't have any tire issues, that when I pulled my tire levers out of the truck, there lay your bead breaker...want to let me know the cost of replacing it so I can put it to use here in the mad scientist lab? |

Photography is not something I have any talent for whatsoever...I'm a point it and click it, kind of picture guy. But a few came out worthwhile enough to share. This is the lunch stop on Friday in Prescott..Tom is trying to block the winnebago from ruining a Buell shot. But it is so large it can't be fully blocked. Inside the Prescot Brewery/artsy mall, I was able to go up three stories directly above our table for this shot. This was where I was testing the ability of the dome to hold weight..this test convinced me that the leap from the balcony was surviveable, IF you could make it far enough.... Could this be the last shot of Carey with his nice S2? Carey, send me a PM and I'll reply with the full size picture as an attachment. After the last stop at Alpine after a most triumphant 191 trip, Tom and I just wanted to beat feet back to the hotel before the rain hit. The road seemed to be crawling with cops for that run, but we miraculously were able to blast back at triple digit speeds between all of them, never getting lit once. We caught up to Dave, who had already been pulled over, and blast past him, heading straight into the darkest of clouds with lightning crashing directly in front of us. We got the bikes pulled under cover here with just enough time to take this picture before the skies opened up. Al |

Oh yea, I had a feeling I left something in the chase truck and I just couldn't figure out what. Keep it. I'll get back to ya on it. Al |

I will give you a test report on how well it does, as I am thinking of having my rims repowdercoated and need to take the tires off. |

The Bago is so big that even me and my motorcycle jacket can't block it. I think a PhotoShop session is in order to convert the Bago back into the Buell that it should be. |

Anyone who has the capability of de-digitizing that atrocious Bago from the proceedings is promised a future $2.50 margarita from the Show Low house of overbilling. |

Tom, "House of overbilling" boy you got that right! A large beer was $6 (maybe more, I forget...) Anyway, as promised here's some more pictures. It's been a busy week at home and work. You think taking a week off would be no big deal. It's going to take two weeks to get caught up! On top of that, I've had to be the neighborhood IT support guy. The neighbor across the street is finishing up her teaching masters and it's crunch time for her. She has an old under powered PC and is trying to put together her final documents. I've gotten the late night panic call the last two evenings to help keep things on track for her. Any way, with out further adoo! Boy, we sure don't have scenery like this up in flat land country. I could really get to like this stuff... Mike and Daryel at Tortilla Flats on Thursday on the way our Phoenix It sucks when you run out of road..... It's kind of funny, you really don't appreciate how big these cacti (sp?) really are when you are driving by at speed. I was amazed at how many along the road side had bullet holes in them. Some were barely alive. Somone said they only gorow 1/4" per year. Some of these buggers are ancient if that's accurate. Close but not quite, I missed it by less than a 10th of a mile! A kind tourest type took this one for us on the way out of the Apache Trail Wycked with his ever present smile. She was our waitress on Thursday night. Guess where she's from originally.... The Tramp Stamp says it all...... Another shot of the bikes in front of the Court House in Prescott This is on the way back after parting company with the rest of the crew on Saturday. We had to leave early, it's a long drive back to "flat lander" country. This was shot on the way home just after we crossed the New Mexico border. The picture doesn't do it justice. Reminded me of the Bad Lands in South Dakota I've got a few more I'll upload later. I better at least try to get something done today... Thanks again to all for a great event. It will stick with me for a very long time. Brad |

thanks for the GREAT pix, Brad. (Tom will be duly chagrined to see that the Reactor-Bago managed to squeeze into your courthouse shot above...) it was great to meet and ride with you and IAMike and Darrell, and NEXT time you guys better bring Alex, and NEXT time you better do the entire ride! ride two lean, Ferris & Denise (Message edited by jerry_haughton on April 29, 2005) |

Yup, there is just no way to hide the reactor-bago with an entire gaggle of Buells..it is just too big to be blocked entirely. So, you've had it how many weeks now? Where does it fall in the "like it but don't love it" scale? I bet you were pretty much loving it while we were getting all wet on sunday in the rain. But you probably won't know for sure where it falls overall until you get to take it around a battletrax course, eh? But at least it is a pretty color so you don't have to lay a coat of Krylon on it AL |

four weeks, and lovin' it. 127 hp and 90 ft lbs to the ground (according to Motorcyclist), along with all-day ergos and touring-oriented amenities, combined with near-sportbike canyon carving prowess...well, there i go, sounding like i make my living selling the derned things. the pretty Galaxy Blue paint, i'm afraid, took a beating over the weekend. can't believe all the rocks zits and pits, most of them from Kobe as we burned along the first part of Daryl's road on Saturday. he'll be getting a bill in the mail soon. |

Bart, i kinda blew over your post before, the Hooligan in me saying of COURSE you're gonna be here. we, too, hope another visit by you to the Fabulous ThunderDome is in the cards. me 'n Dino never did get to show you the roads we wanted to that day (altho you DID get to do Yokohl Valley, which doesn't suck). anyway, before this thread vanishes into a delightful memory (me 'n D are STILL chattering like little kids about SpringFast!), just wanted to say we're thinking of you, and hoping to see you this Oktober if not before. ride two lean, Ferris & Denise |

one of the funny memories of the weekend was Elizabeth's description of the rental vehicle you guys were in when we all stopped in the Salt River Canyon. i can't repeat what she said here, but she sure knows how to drop an F bomb. |
