Hey BorderRaid riders!!!!!! I need a head count for those riding Sunday from Whistler to Penticton. Have to let the farm know how many to expect for lunch. Could you please go to the BorderRaid thread here on Storm Fronts and see if your name is listed. If it is, just confirm that you're going. If it isn't and you are going; please let us know! Thanks and hope to see y'all there! Ride on, LO |

Galen (and any others): my home is your home Thursday night. I'm five minutes from the border. Call when you're across. 604-542-9254. (You need to use the area code when calling within the province. (but no '1'). If I'm out, my wife, Sharon, will host til I arrive. |

Are any of you interested in coming to Seattle for the IMS show this year? What do you think about "Our" Mountian! Sure hope she leaves the roads so we can enjoy SPLASH 2005! Chris hopes that she blows them all up so they have to make it all new! Loni |

When is it, Loni? I'm hoping the boys might be up for an over-nighter. Are you still able to motorcycle to the mountain or is it too cold up there now? Pretty neat stuff. I hope it doesn't pollute the neighbourhood with that ash, though. That's hard on machinery. |

Sporty, I will post the dates this weekend sometime (I hope). Don't know where we are riding to Sunday yet, maybe up the mountian to see what we can see. Yep the ash does no good to machines. I hope the wind is blowing anyway but south if it does blow! Loni |

Hey Eric, Sorry I didn't get your email sooner. I think we need better communication. I usually post on the home computer and don't check the BADWEB or my home e-mail everyday. This Friday doesn't work for me but maybe Wednesday night? I'm out of town from Saturday through next Thursday. We're due eh? Harv |

Hey, Canadian Biker is having a 25th Anniversary Party on July 8th, 9th and 10th. It starts in Victoria and on Sunday there is a ride to Cathedral Grove towards Port Alberni. If you continue past Port Alberni there is a very twisty road to Long Beach/Tofino. I think that this is a nice way to get ready for SPLASH. 2 full weekends in a row of riding probably won't help me to win any popularity contest at home but hey it's a 25th Anniversary! Will there be lots of bikes? Yes. Will there be beer? Hell Yes. Will it be a gongshow? Most definitely! Should there be a Buell contingent? What do you think? I wonder if there are any of our US friends interested. Jimmy, when are the outlaws coming? Eric, you have new tires to burn. Stu, can you get 2 Saturdays off? Anyone else in? Harv, can you be any more annoying than this? Of course! I think it's time for a day permit. Harv |

It's a nice day's ride S1. Take 101 up the Washington coast. If you leave Portland about 5:30 you can make the noon ferry out of Port Angeles. Otherwise you catch one about 4 oclock as I recall and get to Victoria at rush hour. |

Well it's nice to know someone's checking in on us once in a while. As we get closer to using up some rubber we'll see if the Canadian Biker Bash is an option. See ya. |

Hey Canadians! It's the 2nd half of April. Should we start talking about a season kickoff ride? Why do we lack enthusiasm in this bunch? Any ideas? Do we, as a group not want to get together and have a jar occasionally or are we all just too busy. I think this year we make a point of getting together more and recruiting a few friends to join the group. Does BRAG matter to anyone here? If someone doesn't respond to this posting in 2 days...........I will probably...........work on my garage some more. Harv |

Well guess I'd better get off my duff and respond! We don't want Bib to think nobody cares. It's not a matter of lack of enthusiasm. Quite the opposite! It's having the time, money, babysitter, etc. that prevents me from enjoying a day/night out. Then you've got to factor in the crappy weather. My bike's been insured for almost 2 months and I've probably only ridden it twice! Timing (availability and weather) sucks for me and probably for many others. My best time to ride is during the week, during the day (between 9-2pm) anyone available then??? Probably not And I am getting bored of just riding alone. But a boring ride is still more exciting that sitting on the couch watching the trailer park boyz! ... barely. lol |

G'morning, Lo! I think I've completed my re-assemble. Put the fairing on this morning and seems to be good to go. Gonna fetch insurance when the office opens and then try to ride to work. See what falls off. Dang, the first ride of the season is nerve-wracking. What about Harve? Got a header yet? Jim's up and running . |

Good to hear from you Sporty! I haven't been following the thread much ... been having troubles with the S3? Hopefully nuthin falls off, especially you! I know what you mean about 1st ride of the season. Both of my rides were very short and I've gotta say I'm more scared of the traffic than anything. They just don't know I'm there with this whisper-quiet bike! I miss the WhiteBros! But it's been nice to just turn the key and hop on. No worries. Don is a great mechanic and really keeps up on things for me. Now I've just got to keep him off Chris's race bike... he owes... he owes, so off to work he goes. LOL |

Don't know what to say other than I wished we all lived in the same town. Or at least the same nation! Hear ya Lo about riding by your lonesome. I been getting out alot, but I'm running out of fun, short, solo rides. Saw a yellow Kawasaki down in the middle of the freeway today. Allready had the rider scooped up, but his bike and helmet were in the middle of the middle of the road. Looked like he got tangled in a milatary convoy. as it was pulled over to the side right there with about 25 or so GI's all standing around with their freakin' M-16's in their hands. One guy was running with 3 of them under his arm. Ho hum. Not long after that when the traffic opened up I was kinda thinking about Kawa boy and Duane and Brandon and I was in the left lane behind some snoozer and had a nice clear slice to the next lane to his and my right to get up and away and as soon as I pulled out there was a half of a semi's recap right in my line and I had to swing pretty deep into the lean I was allready taking and my new line was just absolutly perfect as I swooped around the rubber biskit and it was justa great feeling. yup. potato potato... I can come up for a spring clean the cobwebs ride? This weekend? Next? You know I'm seriously serious! Lets ride! sooner, Galen |

OK, I can either come fri. eve. for a sat ride, or early sat for a sat ride? BIB, looks like you should be checking back pretty soon...your 2 days are up! Otherwise I'll have to resort to a trip to Oregon for a little scoot on sun. Decisions, decisions... sooner, Galen |

Hey! Thanks for the posts! It seems the hibernating is almost over. I bought a couple of items on e-bay and one of them is a new header (sans cracks I hope). When it gets in I will get the insurance bought and be ready to go. I'm trying to get this garage done but holy shite, I still have lots to do. Jimmy's running, Eric running, Lo's been going for months and Galen is the poster boy for getting off the couch and riding. The pressure is getting to me.

Yep, I'm with ya on the Birthday front. Eva's b'day was Tuesday but party on Sunday. Ballet on Saturday... time for mom to ride? Precious-none! lol. Oh yeah, it's Don's b'day on Monday! Busy to say the least! Sorry Galen. I like your idea but this is a really busy weekend. Hard to do spur-of-the-moment things, which sucks because that's usually the best adventure! Hey, while I'm in a chatty mood; did anyone book rooms for SPLASH yet? Just wondering who booked for the usual Woodland hotel and who opted for a place with a hot tub? |

My bike is still in hibernation. Although the weather this week has been great I feel its not quite time to put it on the road, besides I have to get some new rubber first. Can anyone recommend a good place to go to get said new tires mounted, balanced changed over etc.? |
