I've been using my passenger foot-pegs a lot, especially on longer rides, and I'd like to look into some rear-set pegs. I don't like the idea of moving my feet from one set to the other; it doesn't seem very safe. But I worry that w/ the slop already in the '00 S3 linkage moving the controls further back will only increase the play. I also wonder about the buddy-pegs; will moving the controls back affect them? Thanks, Rob |

Banke makes a good set that resolves any issues you may have. (Message edited by Rick_a on April 04, 2005) |

Thanks Dave. Banke had discontinued them, I convinced them make 5 more sets forme about this time last year. I have two sets left, when they're gone, there won't be any more. Looks like I have an image problem with them on my site, but they are here Al |

I used LSL rear sets on my X1. Don't think that they'll fit the S3 but most good quality sets will improve the sloppiness in your gear linkage. Mine is much tighter since fitting the LSL kit. I was doing the same as you and using the rear pegs for long rides. |

That price is the whole shebang..Banke peg rearsets, shifter, shifter relocator, brake pedal. The shifters alone are $257, brake pedals are $105. The Banke parts are a worthy upgrade, the stock ones are just awful. Al |

I'll atest to the fact that Banke makes some super quality stuff. I'm running the standard Banke shifter and brake set-up on my S3T. Shifting is noticablely more responsive. Hey Al...I think I FINALLY have the Pro-Series rearsets figured out on the S1W. They were a royal pain to bleed. See you in June? |
