Well I just got done installing the D&D on my 04 xb9. Took it out for a test run and DAMN I love the sound!! Just one thing tho. I can hear a noise comming from the connection to the header pipes. Is this normal? Can I do something to stop the sound. It sounds like there is a gap and it is an exhaust leak, but I tightened the clamp as tight as I could. Anything else that you guys can suggest? |

With the bottom fairing off and the engine on, "feel" around the collector. By "feel" I don't mean touch anything, just move you hand around and see if you feel an exhaust leak. If you feel something, we'll go from there. |

LazyMe21 had the same issues on his 9R when he installed the D&D. My 9S installed without this issues. I think he used a high-temp liquid gasket to seal it. |

I haven't fixed it yet, I moved the clamp up a little higher and it seems to have helped it out a little more. What you would want to do is to create a gasket to make that seal. You can pick up some Copper Permatex, just make sure it is ok with the o2 sensor. This is what I got: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0002KL67O/qid=1110377555/sr=8-1/r ef=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl60/002-8247049-8554417?v=glance&s=home-garden&n=507846 |

I have not had a problem. So far so good. I have about 300 miles on it, and this thing is great. Love the power with the open intake, and TFI. Just have to tune that thing!! I'm going to check now, since everyone has me curious about a leak. |
