For some reason when I go to start my bike after its been sitting a day or two the battery will sound like its dead but when I hit the starter again it starts right up. Also ever time it happens the trip meter and clock reset. Anyone else have this problem or have a solution? thank you |

Initially it sounds like loose or corroded battery connections. I'd check that first....... |

My bike has been doing that same thing lately, I just thought it was from the temps being in the teens here in Colo. After I start the bike and let it warm up then turn it off, it cranks over and starts up fine. I didn't start having this problem until it got cold so I figured when the weather warms up this problem will go away. Matt |

Check the battery connections any way. You don't want a loose connection, it will cause other problems after a while. The way the battery shakes, it's a good idea to check it every once in a while. |

Mine started doing the same thing when the temp. dropped here in Philly. My terminals are clean and tight. Fresh off the Battery Tender it starts fine. |

Best bet use a battery tender at all times. |

Just got through checking, and all my connections are tight. Guess it is just the cold weather. |

Good deal. Last winter my bike was doing the same thing. My ground cable wasn't tight. |

My bike did the same thing about 2 months after I bought it. The original battery was shot, my brothers did it after about a year and his battery was also shot. After we put new ones in the problem went away. |
