Buell didn't field any bikes last year either. They are dealer teams with factory "help" From what I have heard, there will be Buells racing in 05 Of course, I could be wrong. |

Can anyone that is in cahoots with Hals or Kosko shed some light on whether or not they will be racing in FX? |

I read Erik's response as "no change in 2005." Therefore, I believe it is safe to assume that any dealer that is still interested in racing will have the same level of support available from Buell. I just wonder how Dave Estok faired in his legal problems and whether or not he will be back in the saddle this year. |

Wonder if we'll ever get a factory team. |

I read Erik's response as "We'll have a bit less cash in '05". That can't be good, but aren't Buell sales up by a large percentage? I suppose that means they are developing the brakes on the track and the engine in the lab? |

Wasnt the rumor going around a few weeks back that Buell was going to jump in with a "full factory support" team? All I got out of this latest slightly cryptic deal is that things will remain as they have been. No biggie, perhaps an official factory supported team vs the unofficial teams we now have will someday arrive. |

To what I understand Barnes could be done riding all together. |

On the local front... Recently the manager of Central Texas H-D/Buell and the director of Ride Texas magazine, brought up the idea of bringing up a BUELL contingency program in the CMRA, Central Motorcycle Racing Association. They approved the two gentlemen's offer to bring another class into the series and will have about 10 other dealerships willing to sponsor the new class, paying all the way to tenth place, which should be good for people who are just getting started in racing! Now I'm not going to get in trouble for saying amateur class will be in this program also, but that is what the two guys want. I just want every one in Texas and Oklahoma to take notice in this message, because we need to bring some more noise to the racing scene. The class is going to be set up like the thunderbike class in FUSA series. Very promising for me and Mark, who are racing Buells already. Hopefully people take notice and intrest in this message. See you guys on the track or in the pits. NOTE:you only get money if you are racing a buell(of any kind). Got this info (unverified as yet) from another group 'round here in Texas. Hope it's true! "The future is bright for those who follow the light" Those taunting the demise of Buell racing are likely the same folks who, two scant years ago, were foretelling the demise of Buell. I'd expect, in 2005, to see little different in terms of the scope of a "factory effort". Buell, my personal guess would be, will be helping all it can...it's their nature. But....Given the current chassis, the demonstrated potential of the motor and the resourcefulness of Elves.....well, ANYTHING could happen. You heard it here first. Court |

By the way...the title "No Buell Racing in '05" is as accurate as "no more wheelies on Buells". |
