Some of you may recall this post athttp://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/32777/76423.html: hey guys, i've got a white 9r that i'm parting out. the front end on it was hit hard...everything else is good shape...besides the plastics that have scratches. two brand new wheels and rubber(100% tread w/factory stickers still on them). also have 4 carbon fiber pieces, intake, oil cooler, rear fender, pulley cover...all "new in box" condition. i can provide pictures of any part interested in. Thanks jon@martiansky.com His user name here is Rollincatera1, and he used the name Jon P. Kopp. Anyone here know him or purchase anything from him? Well, it looks like I've been swindled by this person. Sent a money order to the address he gave me via a Priority Mail. He claimed he didn't get the money order. So I tried to cancel the money order (well learned it hard way). You can't cancel USPS money right away, have to wait 60 days. If it is not cashed by then, then you can seek a refund. Anyway, on the very day he said he didn't get the money order, he cashed it. I emailed him several times, and got no response. The home address he gave me is registered to a different individual. Just beware. |

Sorry to hear about this. I tried to buy the wheels and tires from this guy, but he wouldn't accept Paypal or COD. He would only take a check or Money Order, it seemed 'shady' to me so I decided not to buy. This my help you track him down... Martiansky is a online gaming site that also sells PC's. The email address jon@martiansky.com belongs to John Kopp who was listed as the CEO of www.martiansky.com (if you look at the site today it is down for construction). John Kopp is also found at this site http://www.jonphillip.com/contact.html notice the white XB9R at the top of the webpage. This site also has a link to www.martiansky.com Jon Kopp, Business Manager jon@jonphillip.com Hope this helps... (Message edited by tpoppa on December 03, 2004) |

He registered his domains through www.networksolutions.com and made the registration private. Contact Networksolutions about the deal. Hope you can get it sorted. Good Luck. |

That stinks. Could've happened to any of us. For someone to come here and betray the trust we have for each other is really wrong. |

One simple safeguard you can use when sending a money order is to go to the post office and have it sent with Receipt Confirmation. This USPS service is written proof that your letter was actually delivered to the intended address. That way the sons of bitches can't say it got lost in the mail. Of course, Certified Mail also works. You just have to be more careful with sellers who don't accept BidPay or PayPal or Credit Cards. Mike. |

I emailed the guy several times looking to buy some parts, he never did return my e-mails. It seemed odd to me that he'd not return my questions asking about this part or that part forsale. This guy needs to be Punked! |

Two words... MAIL FRAUD Go to the Post Office and find out where the office of the Postal Inspectors is located. Contact them and see if they will go after this guy. Mail fraud is a Federal Offense... and very serious. Good Luck I have seen a number of these cases in the past 20 years... it is often taken very seriously in prosecution. BUT... filing charges and taking it to the Grand Jury is up to the Postal Inspectors... so it is in their hands. BUT... only if you tell them about the offense. Go for it!!!!! |

Go to this website and enter Jon Phillip Kopp and you will get his record and address in Madison, Wisconsin. http://wcca.wicourts.gov/simpleCaseSearch.xsl;jsessionid=43B4ECCE1771D931B32B70F511B60090.render4 Currently the State of Wisconsin is prosecuting him for forgery and he has left a tale of woe throughout the State. Good luck getting your money back, but you may want to also contact the State Atty or whoever prosecutes this kind of stuff and get your claim entered with them. |

Note to self. Hogs is an easy target. Wife and I involved in E-bay deal gone bad a couple years ago. Perpetrator got caught, found out he had scammed thousands in just several months. It wasn't chump change either. We provided evidence to help prosecute. Jail time for him. Bad news is never got our money back. Mike. |

Oh yeah...In reading through his record, kindly note he was arrested for Malicious Trespass. Translation: not a guy to be messed with unless... Incidentally, if any of you have similar websites for other States, kindly email them to me. I am primarily interested in CA, CO and FL for starters. In essence, I am trying to track down my step daughters and have not been able to since their mother died. |

If you really want a laugh, you should look up your friends that either live in or have traveled through Wisconsin. You will be absolutely amazed at the information available if they have had anything to do with the legal system here. On the serious side, it is just a bunch of fun little things that we are all nailed for periodically. However, I use it for checking out individuals and companies before contracting them. |

Thanks a lot Heywood... Looks like I will be dong the "lock'n'load" thing for a while. With the criminal malicious trespass charge, I get the feeling this guy likes to carry out his own justice. Guess I should have posted as an Anon. |
