...for the Thong, for me anyway, up the ramp... ...and into my truck. the bike gets delivered to its new owner tomorrow, with a little extra gift from Denise: seems fitting, y'know? just about finished, and up comes the moon, creating one last photo op: hope the new owner enjoys the ride as much as i have. its been a good scooter, and i'm pleased that that it'll still be known as... ...the Thong. ride to lean, Ferris (Message edited by jerry_haughton on August 29, 2004) |

I'm sure it was a tough long thought out decision. While I'm sad, I'm also hopeful for a new beginning. Timbo |

Ok, somebody help me with this one... What does Ferris have left in his stable of two wheeled entertainment devices? Any clues concerning future additions or is this going to be a Grand Surprise? Needless to say, I probably missed all the informative posts. |

Ferris, I bet Denise will enjoy her new toy... bet the Thong is what it's going towards... Next time I'm out, we'll all ride together! Happy roads to both of you! |

Thunderdome reverbs to the note of more than one two wheel exhaust even yet. Plus the BLURR which is in a state of rebuild? Its Jerry's tell so I'll say no more, besides he's good at surprises. |

hello everyone, ferris you are a great friend...still. there will be a couple of pics following shortly...??? following the standard signing of paperwork and the disclosures relating to any vehicle purchase...the goodies came out! the victoria's secret bag containg the lacy undergarment/summer riding pants, a couple of studded leather accessories and a few rubber pieces. ;} i hauled it as far as williams from fresno, had to offload it and rode the remaining 125 miles with a grin i haven't had with my clothes on for quite awhile. thank you ferris!...to be continued |

ps to Alex: in the second pic from the top of this thread you can see the front of Denise's new ride, which, thus, has obviously already taken up residence here at the 'Dome - the sale of the Thong had nothing to do with getting her new scooter out of jail. and yes, so far she has loved every smile of it. |

On a related note,I had given Ferris an engine to get the Blurr back on the road, came from the S-2 I got from E-Bear.I ended up getting it back from Ferris and just tore off top end today.Good thing as the dope who rebuilt the motor left the top ring off the rear cylinder, the bearing race for the crank bearing on cam side is not in all the way--may have "walked out" and a couple of the cam bushings don't look so hot. But,on the upside, who ever did rebuild it(it only had 15,000miles) put in an S&S bottom end--crank and rods,Very pretty.Hope I can get it all sorted out soon. |

Coolness FMJ!Amazing it ran so well without a Compression Ring!!I think I told you when I got it the Slide in the Carb was all aluminum and wouldnt even rise with vacuum!!Whomever owned it in Washington put a bunch of money into it but probably didn't get it to run and thats why sold it...Hope you get it sorted out.... |
