No, some have been complaining. I say if you don't like it don't buy it. I like it, I won't buy it, but only because I already have a 12R. |

Court for one, I sould for another (but I have a 12R and I'll only buy a 9 for a track bike, in which case it'll be a 9R). I'll bet if you checked UKbeg there will be more. I'll bet a lot will sell in Japan as well. |

More complex than that. I have an XB9S and prefer it over the XB12S. If it goes away (stolen or crash) I can't get another. Don't make em no more!!! So I have to buy a XB9SX and then... replace the handle bars replace the seat replace the bodywork replace the tires that would be near maybe $1700+ above and beyond the price of the machine to get my Yellow XB9S back by having to convert a XB9SX! Then I'd have to do over the.. race kit Napoleon mirrors GPS etc... etc... It would end up costing more than a new XB12S. I just like the higher reving 984 motor with the race kit! Don't like the 1200! That's my b**ching! They "discontinued" my bike!!!

Just wait for the next wave of BadWeBbers. I think the bike will do better than expected.

I know Das, but as long as they're making the engine, we'll be OK. |

I love my '03 9S, but I would not even come close to buying the new one. They ruined an awesome bike. Maybe they did that to push people into buying the 12S |

Somebody has to ask this, if it hasn't been asked already, but is there a disclaimer about taking the grill guarded XB offroad? Those rock screens beg to be put to test on a gravel road. Would probably need a skid pan under the engine cases first though. And how far behind is the 12X from being released? |

Das I hear what you're saying but. . . If my S2 goes away (stolen or a crash) I'd have to buy a new S2 and. . . oh, wait, they don't make them anymore. Dang, I'd have to look around and find another used S2 So if your XB9S goes away, you can always find a used one if you look hard enough.

An xb all ready has a skid pan under the engine. It's called a muffler. |

is there a disclaimer about taking the grill guarded XB offroad? Bet that'll be one of those orange safety stickers that seem to be the first thing pulled off every new bike. And how far behind is the 12X from being released? Let's wait until the 9 is on the street before we start the 2006 Buell Guess Thread I wish Marketing had put more thought into the gallery photos. I hate the one that looks like a scooter and the CityX are about to drag race.

I like it! (sans hand guards) I think it looks mean, I can't wait to see one with an all black frame, forks, swingarm, etc... May have to be the one to try it. Craig Buell Cycle Center |

I am in the middle of house financing now, and about a week from owning two properties (grrrr), but put me in the "I like it I'll buy it" category. As soon as I can afford it I could not previously imagine a bike that could make me give up the Cyclone... but I think this one is it. But maybe I will keep the Cyclone anyway Like Dale said, I can't imagine a skidplate being much better then the stock muffler. That thing is tough as heck. Wonder if the drummer boys would weld a piece of diamond plate to it when they drummerize it That would look very cool on that bike... |

And I like the scooter add. I think it says "practical urban bikes don't have to look stupid after all". (no offense to the scooter riders, I respect anyone who rides anything with two wheels). |

"practical urban bikes don't have to look stupid after all" Hadn't looked at it that way, now I don't mind it so much. I'm reserving the "weather I like it or not" to when I get to see one in person. Don't get rid of the Cyclone. I know it's had more problems than you'd like to recall. But with two bikes in the garage, the Cyclone will last twice as long! |

hey 99buellx1... I like it too... sans handguards translucent body work tires seat headlight cage mirrors (I must admit I'd love to have a set of black wheels on my Yellow XB9S!!) phillyblast... there is still a market for the tubers I think... I know what you mean. On my part... I wouldn't want a used XB9S... if I had to replace... I want a new... warranty etc. I reserve the right to wear it out... without a head start of being used and unknown as to how it was treated before I got it. So I'd be forced to replicate a XB9S from a XB9SX. MOTORCYCLE GODS, PLEASE LET NOTHING HAPPEN TO MY XB9S!!! |

I think they look interesting... That deal on top of the 'tank' looks cool, but I'm reserving judgement until I see one in person... And no, I won't be buying one I like my 12R too much... Some people didn't like the amber wheels and windscreen of the 12 but that was what really set off the looks of it to me... The new blue of the 12R and the transluent blue also looks favorable but I want to see them in person... Different strokes (9 vs 12 ) for Different Folks... Just my .02 Kevin |

Das, I'll make you a deal - should the unforseen happen to both of our bikes at the same time, I'll buy a used XB9S, you buy a new CityX, and we'll swap bodywork, bars, etc. I might even put some neon under the airbox |

Jose' all ya gotta do is put the bright light switch in the middle and they both stay on. The thing that I'm wondering about is the flyscreen. Nothing pretty behind there. They'll have to do some tidying up under there. Plus there's a piece of foam (looks like weather stripping) that goes across the middle horizontal like. Also mine was a bit dirty from riding in the rain. Wonder what all they'll do to keep it looking at least organized? |

Maybe the Buell ad with the scooter is a subliminal hint at things to come.. Buell scoot, with hand guards, clear body panel, off roadish type tires and headlight brush guards.."city scoot since I predict HD will soon release a full on sportbike, Buell will move fully into the city cross market, featuring the XB and scooter crossers |
