Firemanjim, Blake and I will be arriving in San Jose around noon on July 9th. We plan to get our rental car, a bite to eat, and head to the track! Wanna meet up somewhere? Keith |

FMJ, I'm open to anything as long as my driver is cool with it too. I won't have a bike or riding gear. Keith and I are looking forward to immersing ourselves into the AMA and WSB racing. We'll be hoteling at the Econolodge in Seaside. We are Laguna Seca newbies. You name the place and time for dinner and we'll be there. Preferebly a place that serves those amber to dark colored carb laden beverages. |

The place to meet at the track is Jerry Johnson's trailer overlooking the Corkscrew. Or the BRAG tent between turns 5 and 6. After practice is over, head out to Tarpy's roadhouse for a cool one. Later head to Cannery Row to check out the bikes. Jim

I gotta see at least one race from the Corkscrew overlook. Where are Tarpy's Roadhouse and Cannery Row located? |

I'm contemplating asking the bossman for that Monday off to make sure I have enough time to get back here to Arizona... Anyone mind extra company? |

Blake/Skully,I will look you guys up on sat.I know Ferris was gonna do something dinnerish ,maybe sat night.I will be staying at another Bueller's digs in Monterey--Larry Friese,(another of those annoying S-2 owners)I have the Buell tics so will be there and at Jerry's encampment. Tarpy's is just down the road from the track and Cannery Row(remember Steinbeck) is downtown, waterfront Monterey, they close it off early evening to bikes only. It's a sight to see!! edited by firemanjim on June 24, 2004 |

Jerry's trailer (a.k.a. the Love Shack) overlooks the downhill straight and Wayne Rainey corner well BELOW the corkscrew. go accross the pedestrian bridge below the Corskcrew, look up the embankment to the right for the trailer cantilevered about 20 feet out into space. Blake, Cannery Row fills up fast on Saturday afternoon/evening. bike parking after about 5 p.m. is nearly impossible; being in a car you guys will have to find a place to park at least several blocks away and hike in. as FMJ alluded to, it'll be well worth the effort. Denise and i have offered to take Larry and Lillian (she's a new Blast owner ) out to dinner on Sunday night, when things have calmed down a bit. Saturday night would be cool for dinner, too, but it's hard to find a table for two, much less a group? FMJ, you've still got my cell #? Denise and i will be heading out Monday morning, probably south via Highway 1. M1, you're welcome to hang with us on the ride south and east if it fits into your getting home plans. FB |

Yep, Ferris knows his way around Laguna. If you don't find us at the Love Shack or BRAG tent, Tarpy's Roadhouse, or Cannery Row, look at Hal's and Kosco's in the pits. You will need a pit pass to get in. It is included in the BRAG package, $20 before the races, $40 when you get there. Because the pit passes are controlled by World Superbike, they have run out on location on some years. Of course, that year, we had to get people into the pits for Snails fresh salmon out of the Monterey Bay, so we printed our own pit passes. |

Got the BRAG kit. Anyone going to be there for Friday evening? If so, that might be a good time to hook up. Keith and I have another good/mutual friend, Big Ted, flying in on Saturday, but anything is fine with me. We can certainly hook up at the track. Do they allow beverage in the stands and on the hillside at the track? |

I think the "official policy" on adult beverages in the stands is, you have to buy them there. Pretty much anything goes on the hillsides.

Blake, Jen & I will be tent camping in the space next to Jerry's Love Shack. Friday, we'll most likely be on Ebear's tour through the Santa Cruz twisties in the morning and back at the track for the afternoon qualifiers. We'll be in & out of the BRAG stands as well looking for ya. How can we spot you, got a Badweb cap or something? Sparky |

I'll be camping next to Sparky, probably on the hillside again just below the SCAB spots on the corkscrew. Plan is to arrive Friday eve, hopefully before dark. I'll be in one of my American Sport Bike white T's all weekend, with a gray A.S.B. hat on. Cell phone is 760-685-3583 if you want to reach me. I have Brag event tickets too, so I'll be hanging there too. Al |

Blake, I kinda remember what you look like from a photo you posted when you visited Court in New York, years ago. What year was that? I can also tell that you lean to the left from your picture on your profile. Jim edited by jima4media on June 28, 2004 |

D'OH! At OHR going counterclockwise/left, I do lean left 8 out of 13 times. And if I were to aggresively navigate the track clockwise/right, I would put my life in peril entering left turns #1 and #8. So at OHR left is best and you don't want to be going right into the big lefties. Just look for the big dork with some type of Buellishly monikered shirt/hat. Al, do you have any white long sleeved American Sport Bike T's? |

Nice try Blake, but you are neither big nor a dork. Well, at least as long as you are not posting on the "Politico" and "War" threads. LOL |
