The other day I was riding and suddenly noticed unusual vibration. Quickly saw I lost front mounting bolt for muffler. Got it replaced with one I found in my garage. I also noticed there seemed to be something like a small piece of something loose in the front section of muffler (V & H). Other mounting bolts are secure but I still have a little of that vibration at 4000 or more rpm. Any thoughts as to what may be going on in there? You can hear it (slightly) and feel it. Paul |

Hi All, I posted this in an e-mail to Force but I didn't get an answer... Maybe cos' I didn't buy a new exhaust Anyway, I know that you are a knowledgeable (!) bunch so you might be able to help me out with these Qs: I need to weld in the pipe to correct som minor flaws so, what kind of material is the pipe made of (stainless or..)? I've got a black pipe and it seems like someone has touched it up with some ordinary paint. What do they use to make it black, paint or anodizing? I also need the inner diameter of the pipe (bottom one after the collector)that goes into the Megs cone (preferably in metrics if it's ok Hoping for a quick answer Best Regards Jonas |

As far as i know the Force is ordinary mild steel,at first they offered them with a simple hi-temp flat black spray paint finish along with versions in silver or black (Jet-Hot name brand, they have their own website)baked on type of ceramic coating. The ceramic is on both outside and inside so i'm not sure what the proceedure is to weld if yours has the ceramic. My Force measures 2+1/8 inches on the section i think you're asking about(note thats an OUTside measurement,i can't get to the inside because my pipe is still in one piece)Just a guess but maybe a 2.00 inch i.d. PPia(Peter)in Amsterdam just posted some photos in the last couple weeks of his modified force system but now i can't find them.If you could e:mail him,he probably knows the more exact measurements and how to remove the ceramic coating to weld properly. |

Bull, Did you find anything out about welding your pipe? It sounds like we share the same exhaust, and mine just bit the dust. I'll probably have to get a new one, but I don't want to just trash this one -- maybe get it welded up and keep it as a spare. |

Corndogge; Just in case you're interested, there's a stock header for an X1 (You can plug the O2 port) on eBay item # 7904010763 going for $25.00 at present. |

Thanks for the heads up. I thought that might work. Do you know if there's some kind of plug kit for that? I'm afraid if it comes to me fabricating something that it'll end up with gum and duct tape on it. I sent a reply email to you, but wasn't paying attention and just hit reply -- didn't follow the rules so you probably won't get it. |

I know this is off target, but there's also a screamin eagle full exhaust up for bid. Problem is it fits an s3. Any chance of making it work (with or without duct tape)? It has longer primaries & looks pretty clean. The seller of the x1 pipe wasn't too cooperative, and it looks kinda rough. On the other hand rough & riding is better than not riding at all. |

No idea if the S3 pipe will fit. If the X1 guy is hard to deal with, be patient. I usually see a stock header at least once a week, race kits every couple weeks. I'll give ya a heads up on this thread if I see one. |

SE exhaust for a Buell? never heard if it. Any 99-02 X1/S3 exhaust will bolt to your M2.

I saw the "SE" exhaust, I think...item # 7904365276? If so, it looks to be a Buell Pro Race system. Jump on it. |

Yeah, I thought it looked like the race system too, but got thrown off by the SE. I guess I'll cross my fingers, and hope everyone else gets thrown off too . |
