Lo, no news honey? Damn! Makes you want to choke some idiot, don't it? Don't worry too much. I have your cure. She waits patiently in my garage. If you don't own her, I'm not sure who should. Do you mind if I take her to work tomorrow? It'll put her over the 2000 mile mark. But I'll take it easy. Just a couple of wheelies on the freeway in the morning to wake up the cage drivers? Oh, never mind. I'll put her on the trickle charger for you instead. But, Lo, she's itching to get rode hard. By a girl who knows what it's like to have an untamed Thumper between her legs. (And both feet on solid ground). Did I tell you she's got a spare belt and rear sprocket? Spare cylinder and piston and rings? Lovely bike. Yours, honey. I always knew it.................. |

Hey Stu, Are things all set to go for the season kickoff ride? As far as I know it goes something like this: "Deeley''s House of Buell season kick off. Join us for our annual ride up to the Squamish Brew House for door prizes and motorcycle chat. Ride departs from Deeley''s House of Buell at 6:00pm and meanders its way up the Sea to Sky Highway arriving in Squamish. Anyone on any make of motorcycle welcome. Deeley''s House of Buell promotes safe and sober riding." Does that sound like fun or what? I, for one, am pumped! Harv |

Oh. Betty will not have finished her stay in rehab quite by then. I'm afraid. But she is looking forward to being home... sooner, Galen |

I'm in! And the S2 is running just superb since I re-and-re'd the carb and exhaust. Didn't actually do anything, but I seem to have gained ten HP just from inspecting them! Still not enough to reel in Funjimmy and his Jap scrap, though. That'll be a mission for the Sportster build. |

We had a great time! Took me 'til now to recover! Had a good romp up to Squamish. The group got a little spread out (between those who obey double solids and those who don't), but it didn't make more than five minutes difference to arrival time. Funjimmy had the pleasure of unveiling his new ride, an RC51 that replaces the ZRX. (He needed that after a day out with me and my S2.) (His S1 being still a little disassembled.) A good meal at the usual pub, but I'm ticked that nobody drew my attention to the half-price appetizers. We need to figure out a table set-up so we can mix and mingle more. Maybe we should do like those "speed-dating" programs: five minutes then move two seats down. Met some good new folks (Matt, Jason, Min, Tony, and others), and got time with some of the old gang. Missing Lorraine and Don (no bike yet/working, respectively). And the main gang got away homeward while the slow-pokes were still getting ready. Probably thought either we were staying for another or that we'd catch up soon. With the highway closed from 8pm til midnight to the north of us (for blasting), we had a totally clear highway on the way home for a wicked good roar. With the S2, I was able to keep Sean in sight most of the way, although he may have been dawdling a bit for whatever reason. A bit of a non-event of a farewell as we just kind-of dwindled down to four then three then two then just one. Nice night, all in all. |

It looks like due to the very large blood clot in my leg i am unable to ride for SPLASH this year. I still have yet to make it to an event. On of these days i'll make it out. |

Are you doing okay these days LittleOne? I hope the meds are helping out. Really sucks you won't make it to SPLASH. You too Stu! Damn. Oh yeah, John may not be going either. Our numbers are dwindling. LittleOne, we will have to make a plan to ride together some day when you're up to it. Really. We've just got to make a point of it as life is too short, right?! Take care all. Hope to ride with everyone some day soon! Ride on, Lo

Well ICBC paid me out and now I'm looking for a new ride and should be on a bike for SPLASH, thank goodness! So I guess poor Peggy is gone but not forgotten. Time to look forward and be thankful that at least I've still got a lot of the riding season left to enjoy. My biggest regret is all of Don's hard work in tuning up that ol Blast and the $$$ put into it will never be fully appreciated. And when something is stolen from the one place on earth you thought it was the safest... well it's quite unsettling to say the least. Many lessons learned on my part during this ordeal. Anyhow, hope to be riding on soon! Lo |

Lo-what sort of bike will you be looking for? One with two wheels is a given' but do you have any plans of changing from the Blast to something else? Looking forward to seeing what new wheels you will be sporting at SPLASH! I'm glad it was insured against theft, so sorry to hear that happened though. Kimberlie |

Lo, get the best bike you can find that fits you. You are a great rider already so don't worry about the bike, just make sure it fits. Looking forward to seeing you and Don at Splash. |

Well I won't be getting another Blast that's for sure. Been there... done that... even have the model to remember it by. (Thanks Ralphie, at least I'll never forget what she looked like!) I am severely limited to what bikes will fit, but may have found the one for me. It will be new so I'll have to break it in quick, get it to it's first service before riding SPLASH. Good things come in strange ways sometimes. Oh and Shotgun?... thanks so much for your support. I wish I could buy the best Blast Ever Built in addition to this next bike. Guess I'm still waiting for that windfall! The main thing on my mind now is keeping it safe. So lesson to all: INSURE YOUR MOTORCYCLE FOR THEFT! You never know... Can't wait to crank a throttle! Ride on, LO |
