I removed my headers and installed a new oxygen sensor. It already had anti-seize coating on it so I did not apply anything additional. Installed the sensor, the headers, and started the bike. Lots of white smoke leaking around oxygen sensor threads. What gives? |

Is it the excess anti-seize/thread lubricant burning off, it would seem weird to have white smoke even if it was an exhaust leak. Been so long since I have had an O2 sensor out does it also have a seal washer? |

If it's simply "rising" smoke, it's the sealants. If it's puffing or being pushed, it's a leak. My guess is, chemical burnoff. |

What you guys are saying makes total sense. I never thought about it but I think it probably is the burn off. I will drive the bike around to make sure it completely burns off and the smoking hopefully stops |

It's pretty close to the head so if it were actually leaking it would make a fair amount of noise too. |
