I'm keeping my fingers crossed. The last thing I saw was an anonymous post back in (mid? early?) April saying thered be a couple Buells there. I haven't heard anything since then to contradict that. Considering the level of competition, I'm afraid it might be rough, but it will be fun to watch (taped coverage May 11 on Speedvision) even if I only get to see them when the leaders are lapping them. |

I think a top ten finish would be great and a top five would be awesome. That is what I am hoping for. Also, I thought they were going to be running XB12's not XB9's? GO BUELL!! |

M1- if you were to leave Laguna right after the races on Sunday and kept "close" to the speed limit you should be back home by sunrise if you don't stop to sleep. I have been making the trip to Laguna from PHX since '92 and have it down to a science. I can leave home at 10 pm and arrive at laguna shortly after 9 am stopping to sleep around 30 to 45 minutes, plus gas/pit stops. I guess it depends on how alert you need to be for work. I'm planning on being ere this year with my wife and my significant other, aka my XB12S!!th |

They are running at around 1350cc, not 1203 or 984 cc's. 1350cc is the class displacement limit for air cooled bikes in Formula Extreme. Both bikes in the top 10 is very good so far. Michael Barnes did a 1:41.08 on his R6 Supersport spec bike and 1:42.98 on his XB1350RR Formula Extreme spec bike so far. It will be interesting to follow Michael's efforts on both bikes the rest of the season. Same track, same rider, same tires (Pirelli), hopefully same racing conditions, different bikes, we'll see how the lap times compare. edited by josé_quiñones on April 30, 2004 |
