Thanks for asking, I live about 6 miles from the town of Utica. It is a popular route to Starved Rock State park and some really curvy Buell roads. Too bad the buildings destroyed had some neat places to eat and meet. Hopefully they will rebuild. See everyone at the 21st! |

I live ~4 miles from downtown Utica, and have friends in town. It's trashed. Hey Coolice, we should go for a ride - after I help cleanup this weekend. http://www.starvedrockrelief.org/

Ouch, nothing worse than a twister. Makes one of those big ole hurricanes look like a walk in the park. Good luck to you folks, here in Wisconsin a few years ago we lost pretty much the whole town of Barneveld.

That sux, Utica was a cute little town right on the edge of Starved rock park. Hmm just thought of something for you locals there...ever been to the Lamplighter right outside of Ottawa? Spent a few nights there with my brother in law when he lived in Marseille. |

Ah the famous Lampliter.... we now also have the Silver Slipper on the I-80/rt 71 intersection Dyna. I also belong to the m/c club Variety Riders which is about a 1/2 mile west of the Lampliter. They hold hillclimbs every year and have for over 50 years now. The club will be donating money to the Utica Fire Dept soon to help them rebuild. Yea Mike send me a time we can meet after the weather straightens out. How about going to the Buell homecoming? Which Buell do you have? |

Cool, I sold my S1 and S1W, and went back to faster, longer distance bikes. I now have a Triumph, Yamaha, and a couple Hondas. I still search the ads for a nice S2. I'll have another Buell someday. I'll be up for a ride this weekend sometime, if it's nice. I'll definitely be at one of the Hillclimb dates! Lamplighter...oh boy...strangeness abounds there! Have you been to Heartbreakers up North yet? Here's a photo of my old Buell:

Mike I looked at a Buell like that and bought a XB9R. If I knew what you looked like I might see you there Sat. I will be there to volunteer to do cleanup or repair if needed. Ya we need to get a ride in when things calm down. |
