I just bought a HMF exhaust for my 09 1125cr I was going to buy a race ECM from IDS for the HMF with stock motor and 93 octane for $300. But I did some reading and watched some you tube and it seems do able, the way they showed saved the original so you could revert to it if needed. I have ecm spy and think I can do it. First does anyone have any advice second does anyone have or know where I can get the race map that fits those parameters. HMF stock motor 93 octane. |

TunerProRT would be the program you want to save anything from the stock ECM. Shouldn't IDS be sending a separate ECM? The files for these bike are not freely available. Companies are still making $$ of them. I wish that weren't the case since EBR has shut down. Sharing is what makes our Buell/BadWeb community great. |

Thanks Terry, I have ECM spy and tuner pro. I was trying to avoid buying a separate ECM and spend the extra $300. I was hoping to reprogram my existing ECM. I know the maps for my 03 XB9r are pretty available. I guess I assumed they were available for the 1125 too. And I know where assuming gets me. Make sense I am sure there is a lot of money to be made on that. Thanks for the info. |

ECMDROID and a Buelltooth module will work for saving an existing EEPROM and burning a new one. Buelltooth modules are readily available from http://www.buelltooth.com and ECMDroid is free from Google Play. You just need an Android device ( phone or tablet) to use it. You can also log realtime data with it. You will need other software to read and interpret the maps and recorded data though. |
