That could be straightened pretty easily. There are shops that specialize in it; probably cheaper than even a used rim. |

Hugh, I know it can be repaired. I found one local shop that I am going to take it by. Over the phone it sounds like repairs start around 2 bills. I don't think anyone will straighten and polish it for less than a 100 but I could be wrong. |

Hopefully they won't charge you that much. Is the tire shop paying for it? I'd think you could do a pretty good job on your own with careful measuring and a ~$15 dead blow hammer. |

My thoughts exactly. I'd try it myself. |

I bent both of mine in an accident. Rims are made made better than stock at FRAMESTRAITSYSTEM.COM they take care of racers so get it in granit when it needs done or there maybe a delay. Check out there work , its awesome. http://framestraightsystem.com/ Its was 130 bucks each in 2006 (Message edited by mmmi_grad on January 03, 2015) |

I also used Frame Straight to get my original black front rim sorted after my front end collision in 2002. |

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I took it by a shop, they spun it up and said the dent is only really a cosmetic defect. I put it back on the bike for now and next time I do a tire I'll work it out with a dead blow. I think I learned my lesson on this one. Instead of convenience I should just make the hour and a half drive back to where my No Mar tire changer is and just continue mounting and balancing them myself. |
