Hi Buellers. I have a problem, I live in Australia which normally isn,t a problem unless you want to get parts for a Cyclone. Al (American Sportbike) has got the parts I need, but his postage costs more than the parts. Could any of you wonderful members. Please accept delivery of my parts and post them to me.I have been unable to contact my American friend who has done this in the past. thanks Sportycraig |

I doubt whether Al (or any other reputable company) is making any money from postage costs. He is probably like us and just passes on the exact cost of shipping & packaging to the customer with zero profit from it. Shipping costs to Australia are unfortunately high, no matter who you use to post the parts. |

I wasn't having a go at AL all my dealings with him and many other reputable business's in the US have been excellent,it is just the shipping company he uses insures all products which makes postage too expensive. Normal package postal prices are more reasonable. sorry for any confusion. sportycraig |

Have you contacted Al directly and ask if he could possibly ship usps or whatever you are looking for. Im sure he could. I know ups is the only shipper that comes up on his website. Same way with were i work, we only ship UPS unless the purchaser requests something else. Id help you out but im on the other side of the country from Al and shipping is probably the highest to get to me and then ship to you. |

I may be wrong here , but I think the first order with American Sport Bike has to go to the card holders address, Australia , this then has the high postal charges and import duties added. That`s what has stopped me using them. |

I'm willing to help, I'm on the other side of the country though so I pay for coast to coast shipping. Let me know, as long as Al gets business I'm willing to help. |

If it's just the first order that has to go to cardholder's address, why not buy a small inexpensive item to start with? I've bought lots of stuff from Al, but never had to consider int'l postage fees. I don't claim to know American Sport Bike shipping policies...just throwing an idea out there. |

International order is a $50 minimum $10 handling, plus postal costs, plus import duties and 20% Value added tax on the whole price including post and insurance. Getting it sent on from a friend as a gift is the only way. |
