Another travel week for us and when we were passing thru omaha on 680 this past Wednesday about 730 am, a black uly honked at us then passed and exited. I had the blue x on a small trailer behind our white truck. Anyone here? B. |

Could've been, but I hope not. The guy was wearing no gear and shorts . |

That was me. And I had a helmet, sunglasses and g.loves on, what more do you need. I remember seeing you. I wondered who would be trailering a perfectly good ride-able Buell. Now I know. |

shorts? wow. Apparently you've never been dinged in the shin by a rock? And yep, that was me. trailer queen with 37K on one uly, 18K on the other. It certainly would have been interesting figuring out the logistics of getting four people and a weeks worth of groceries 200 miles on a Uly. |

I too have been guilty of riding short distances in shorts. Rarely, but I've done it. |

Around town I ride in shorts quite often until it gets cold. Usually to the gym. If I go for any distance I'm always in pants, boots, long sleeve shirt or b.ike jacket. I just got back from Sturgis the other day. About 600 miles each way. Full gear all the time. Plenty of hard bugs hitting me where they could. Lots of rain this year in the Black Hills. Hail too. Plenty of riding in the wet. Nice and cool all the time this year. Nice tent sleeping weather except when the rain was pounding on the top of my tent. Black Hills are a beautiful place to visit and ride. |

Fltwisty, My brother rode his out to the Black Hills even though his two cohorts trailered their bikes behind a motor-home. They spent a fortune for fuel for that old Champion Motor-home. Nice place to sleep once they arrived though. |

EG You should get your brothers cohorts "I Trailered Mine To Sturgis" Tee's. |
