Hi, my 2008 Uly seems to have a good battery, it charges up 100%- but my starter seems to be dragging when I go to start it. It'll crank slow, like barely crank, and then it finally starts. Sound like anything common? |

Almost all of them hesitate when cranking, especially when hot. You could have someone do a load test on the battery to ensure it's good. I'd say it's pretty unlikely the starter is bad. |

What Hugh said. There are some things you can do to reduce it like cleaning grounds, running a ground directly to the starter, better battery, and so on, but it is normal and doesn't hurt the bike. As long as the clock and tripometer are not resetting, you are good to go. |

100% voltage doesn't mean 100% power. A battery can appear charged, but when asked to deliver a lot of current, it falls over. As said, even a "good" battery will turn over pretty slowly. |

The clock is resetting, and I've cleaned and tightened both contacts. I guess I need a battery, even though this one is less than a year old. |
