Hello All, I just bought my first bike a couple weeks ago, 2009 Buell XB12R with a thousand miles on it, love it. I replaced the air filter with a K&N air filter and did a TPS reset. Surprising what a difference just that made. I have the chance to get a ram air airbox cover for it and was wondering if I really needed to get the ECM tuned. Still has the stock exhaust. Would the new airbox make that big of a difference? Thanks in advance. |

If that's all the mods your doing, then no. The ecm is fine as it is. Just enjoy the bike as it is. |

I really recommend getting the Race ECM for stock exhausts from Erik Buell Racing, it is a night and day difference from the stock ECM, and includes changes beyond just the fuel map. The 08+ bikes are rougher in terms of stock fueling due to tighter EPA requirements, and the Race ECM lets the bike run how it was supposed to run. |
