yes! the breather holes the the carb bracket uses will just use regular bolts. the tops of the rockers have PCV's that will need hose routing to a catch can. |

I see folks going down this road and never understood the benefits in switching to the XB rocker boxes if you still need a catch can? Less spooge, better breathing? Just asking. |

supposedly it breathes a bit better. Personally I think it was more of a production cost saving exercise, as it went from a 3 piece to a two piece box and less machining. Replacing the umbrella valves when you've got a few years on the bike helps heaps as they get stiff with age (know that feeling.. LOL) Running the bike in properly so the rings seal as they should makes a big difference too. I've seen some motors that had major blowby issues and when I've pulled them down it's been obvious what the problem was and no breather set up was going to fix it. |

Certainly not gonna do ya any harm... I ran a PCV valve directly out of the timing hole to add to what the rockers were doing. but I used to sit at nearly fun noise around the race track... and most of the probs from that were not getting enough oil back to the oil tank and having too much floating around in the engine. Never a problem on the street or the drag strip |
