I originally thought I was getting fuel to the cylinders; however, I am not. I tried cycling the fuel injectors from ECMspy, but they are not cycling. I have continuity checked the injector wires back to the module and I replaced/adjusted a faulty cam positioner sensor. Any suggestions for troubleshooting? |

Check fuel pump pressure, should be 45+ psi at the Schrader valve. |

Thanks Jramsey. I also should have noted that I have a 00 X1. I do not have a pressure gauge at the moment to test the fuel pressure so I decided to start troubleshooting from the injectors. They were clogged with varnish. I cleaned them out and ran a start test on them. They are spraying fuel. Would that mean the pump is good? After cleaning the injectors, setting the TPS, and installing a new cam position sensor , I attempted to start the bike. It sounds like it is trying to kick over but it pops out of the muffler and the intake. I notice a light smoke coming out of the intake filter. I pulled the plugs and they have a light black carbon film on them. The battery is brand new but it is this battery: http://www.braillebattery.com/index.php/braille/pr oduct_batteries/b106c I also jumped the battery with a car 12V and got the same result. I think I am getting closer but I am at a loss from here. |

Doublecheck the static timing since you replaced the CPS. |

Go over everything you touched again, and I mean everything. It sounds like it may be a timing issue so the cps is a good place to look. Is this the bike that's fresh from a rebuild? If so I'd go back over every step you can, like verifying TDC and cam positions and all the electrical. There are also a few sensors that can kill the bike like the bank angle or kick stand but I'm not 100% on their symptoms. |

"Remember every thing is tied to every thing else in a big loop !!" Excellent point. That really explains the fuel delivery issue.... |
