I know this is a long shot, but I spied with my little eye a Barricade Orange Uly in Dubrovnik, Croatia on or about June 18th. Just curious to know if it might be someone on this forum. |

Well, it wasn't me, but I was in Croatia around that time on my Orange Uly. Bit further North, Plitvice and Crikvenice. Great country, some stunning roads and scenery, and really friendly people. I'll be going back. |

@Mnrider, I was just taking a badly needed vacation. @Muppet, my opinion of the roads, scenery and people of Croatia are the same. We used to go to to the northern coastal area on occasion when I lived in Vienna 10 years ago. It was a five-hour ride and made a nice place to spend the weekend. It was a lot cheaper then than it is now! Coincidentally, I had a good time chatting and sharing a few drinks with some Croat Harley riders in Rome a few days before I left for Croatia. There was a huge Harley Owners Group rally going on in Rome. We were all getting a kick out of seeing this invasion of loud, shiny, bikes consuming innocent Vespas on the streets of Rome. For the record, Harley riders dress just as ridiculously in Europe as they do in the US. |

We spent a day in Dubrovnik during a 2 week cruise around Italy 5 years ago. It is truly one of the most amazing cities I have ever seen, absolutely tremendous. As a civil engineer I was in awe of the construction of the wall around the city, coming up out of the cliffs along the sea. Definitely worth a visit. |

As a civil engineer, you would have appreciated Ston which isn't far from Dubrovnik. It has a very impressive outer wall that is over 5 km long with 20 of the original 40 towers still standing. They also had very advanced water and sewer systems that was very advanced for the time. |

I'm so backwoods I don't even have a passport. Get one! And expand your cultural and motorcycling horizons! You won't regret it. |

That is what we do the other way around. Get a passport and go to the States. Happy 4th of July |
