So after having my bike down for 5 months, due to just being busy and not buying another replacement belt, I finally got it back together. While I was in there I installed the updated isolators, and decided to remove my aluminum isolator inserts. What a pleasure to ride now. haha. The thing is completely smooth above 4,000. I never would have known. Soo nice. Wish I would have done that last year when i did my 2,800 mile trip in a week |

would you be interested in selling the isolator inserts? |

Perhaps so. I'd be more interested in a trade I think, as I generally stock pile parts for this bike. But I highly doubt I'll be installign those again unless I do a track day. |

Fox,how did the bike feel with the inserts?Did it have a high frequency vibration that you could feel through different parts of the bike? |

It's stiffer and it does seem to be a higher frequency vibe. It's more fatiguing. It does handle better when really pushing. It's almost like if the tires needed more air (or maybe shock/fork without correct oil) without the inserts and with inserts it handles as if they were properly inflated. |

I dont know about that Sknt. I have not really gotten the chance to take the bike and push it to a limit, but just back road riding, the bike feels much more limber on the road. To me it always felt as if the bike was a bit too ridgid in the way the motor would dictate which direction the rear would turn. As for high frequency? More like all frequency. I always thought people were nuts when they said their buell would smooth out over 4k. mine smoothed out when I turned the key to Off and that was it. I mean, I love the fact that It made be feel mannly, but riding the bike is like butter now. So much more enjoyable. I can ride harder and longer. And feel wayyy more comfortable in first gear as my advanced ignition timing no longer pushes and pulls the bike as much. |

I agree. I made aluminum inserts for mine so I could run a wheelie bar. it does make it feel like you have more control but you get tired faster. it seams like a good safety thing in case a rubber mount breaks. if the part that goes inside the frame were turned down (made smaller in dia.) then it would not touch unless the rubber mount broke. that would be the best of both worlds. I will make a set tomorrow and check it out. might need bata testing. |

Well.... I dont know really. S1 stuff. something blingy? A single seat or a seat cowl/fairing... Ive been wanting to make a mold of it and start producing some carbon ones. a good tail light bracket? Boomarang shifter? Really dont need anything, as I fabricate most of my own stuff, and already have a XB front end... But never know what kind of cool obscure things people may have... Oh... XB front fender? |
