OK...I thought rebuilding a single CV40 would be easy. Soaked it and installed a 45 pilot in place of 48, fixed a stopped up accelerator pump nozzle, installed a new slide and drilled the vacuum hole 7/64, cut one loop off the stock slide spring, installed all 3 new seals on the intake. Now the engine fowls the plugs within a minute. Checked the float level, blew into the fuel inlet hose and know the float valve is holding. I did break the enricher cable by tightening it to tight the first time. Installed a new enricher cable that is a little longer than stock. Any ideas as to why all of the sudden the bike is flowing plugs would be appreciated!

Thanks Buellistic. I actually replaced a 48 with a 45 and have tried adjusting the idle mixture several times including 2 1/2 turns out. Installed new plug wires also.

Guess what...bike doesn't run well without the needle jet in it! Finally realized it was not in the carb. Runs great now. Thanks to everyone for their input.
