Author Message   M2lrider Posted on Sunday, February 10, 2013 - 05:14 pm:        OK...I thought rebuilding a single CV40 would be easy. Soaked it and installed a 45 pilot in place of 48, fixed a stopped up accelerator pump nozzle, installed a new slide and drilled the vacuum hole 7/64, cut one loop off the stock slide spring, installed all 3 new seals on the intake. Now the engine fowls the plugs within a minute. Checked the float level, blew into the fuel inlet hose and know the float valve is holding. I did break the enricher cable by tightening it to tight the first time. Installed a new enricher cable that is a little longer than stock. I actually replaced a 48 with a 45 and have tried adjusting the idle mixture several times including 2 1/2 turns out. Finally realized it was not in the carb. Runs great now. Thanks to everyone for their input.
