yeah but I can't fit a mainframe under my desk (but I can fit this web and streaming audio server under there.) Henrik, in the interest of moving yet another thread completely off-topic, are you running Panther? My 'rents have a Boo-berry iMac (G3 - OS 9) and I want to move them to OSX - any thoughts? Send me an email if you get a chance. tnx philly |

Once apon a time, in a land far, far away in the frozen north there was a company that made an American Sport Touring motorcycle...Anyone care to write the ending to this fairy tale?... Very interesting that "sport touring" was not even an answer to the type of riding choices...Me thinks we've been over this ground before...Dead horse and all... See Ya! Bob |

Here we go again. Buell is giving us something for free, and people are starting to bitch. Dyna, run down to the Honda shop and pick up the free T-shirt that they're giving away. I bet it will be more colorful, fit better, last longer, and be a better deal.(Uh huh!) I can understand why anonymous got so bent out of shape a couple of weeks ago. I got a divorce from someone who criticized my every move and decision. I bet Erik must feel the same way. He must have days when he just wants to chuck the whole thing. Look; Buell is building the most trouble free motorcycles on the market today. The are the standard in handling that others are measured by. They are full of innovative and ground breaking features, like fuel in the frame, oil in the swingarm, perimeter braking systems, to name a few. BMW doesn't build bikes like the Japanese companies, yet the BMW enthusiasts aren't whining about it. Buell builds truly great motorcycles. Enjoy them for what they are. And PLEASE quit looking that gift horse in the mouth. |

Crusty, just playing Devils advocate. Personally I could care less about a free t-shirt. Have way too damn many of them now as it is. Yea yea its great thats its free, but its not like they are giving anyone the world. And why cant our friends overseas or even in Canada get one?? Its going to take more than free t-shirts to rebound the sales & get customers in the doors. |

Okay, I'm out, the popup requires x-shockwave-flash. I can't install software upgrades here and won't at this time upgrade my home operating system to then upgrade/install the latest macromedia player. Have a very nice day.

Racerboy- there's still hope, the latest H-D financial report still says: "Buell Motorcycle Company produces sport and sport-touring motorcycles." Hope springs eternal... |

Yep! Thanks. Now if they would just offer some insulated heated riding gear to go over the t-shirt for free as well then I'd really get excited.

On the optional info for level of experience, they offer new or experienced, I put myself somewhere in the middle, but what gets me is the type of motorcycling that interests me ain't on the list of what type of motorcycling interests me. The closest I could find to touring was group riding, man I so want my XB12T of course I can't afford it right now so I can't fault them for not producing it. Just wish it was on the radar scope. Ah well, my S3T got a whole lotta riding left in it. |

i think this is a neat thing buell is doing. the last shirt was a touch small for me but the wife wears it well. it looks like buell was listen to the talk about the last shirt offer and responded with a choice of sizes this time. that looks like a company that pays attention! i do not see how anyone can complain about something given for free. thanks buell. |

Hey guys the world isn't just north america you know, I appreciate that the factory an organisation is american, but hey if you want to expand world wide you got to do things for every one, H D is a worldwide brand now, Buell might be the poor relation but thats no reason to piss off loyal customers, right? |

Too cool . . . t-shirt give away yields potential leads for Buell and their dealers to pursue during a time when Buells are gaining momentum for their unique design and reputation for reliability. Good move....first fill the cyber-hopper with names of folks who either own or are interested. Congrats to Buell.. |

Court, The trouble up here is that there is absolutely no advertising (apart from what filters up through from the US), no promotions or any other kinds of incentives to get people out to the Buell Brand. It is not good enough for a large American Company reaping in millions to leave out other Countries with very loyal fans. We don't see any Buell Adventures or any other types of incentives offered to even get interested buyers into the retailers. Here is an Adventure Send Erik to the Rock this summer with the boys!!!!! Then there is BRAG/HOG Canada!!!!!!!If they could take the time to get their heads out of the Upper Canadian A%%es and drop the "WE ARE GREAT" maybe that organization would excel as well. During the advertising for the 100th Anniversary "Ride Home", Newfoundland was not included and on the cover of HOG Tales there was a map of Canada and of course Newfoundland was left off. They would not even start the Ride Home in St. John's it was Started in Halifax, Nova Scotia - 'Hey HOG/BRAG Canada Canada STARTS AT MILE ZERO - ST. JOHN'S, NEWFOUNDLAND'. Despite the fact that the XB/Blast line has brought reliability up a great deal, the fact that Buell has had some great recall programs and stood by their product until the retailer/HD support is better there will be no big jump in sales. I can go on about the lack of support from retailers, sales and service departments that do not have product knowledge to support the brand, but you know I would probably be better off standing out at Cape Spear, hauling it out and pissing into the wind - because to date it appears that no one is listening. I love my Buell and even considered an new XB9R until earlier this week (other things to dump money into) and I will probably wait a year to pick up an XB12R but I hope the support grows. My hat goes off to guys like Dave and Bubba who are passionate about the Brand and maybe Buell/HD can model their retailers after those guys. You would definately see an improvement in the sales and support. |

Hear Hear, as I said before, the world is bigger than the USA. I have no beef with Americans or America, I live in France, I ride a Buell, I just spent 7,000 dollars on a Dodge pickup that I'm having shipped back here, I'm a loyal Cardinals fan (for my sins) so please don't think this an anti-american bitch because it's not! It's just that there seems to be blinkered vision when it comes to looking outside the borders is all. This isn't a new problem but it's one that needs dealing with, how can a company expect to keep a loyal customer base if they don't treat their customers fairly! I love my bike it's the most fun I've ever had on 2 wheels, but I've got to have an incentive to go to the dealers or I'll just buy my parts mail order and do it all myself. This isn't a rant, it's what's known as constructive criticism. My hat goes of to Dave & Bubba as well. If we had dealers like them every where, instead of people who consider Buell incidental to their HD marketing opportunity, we wouldn't be having this discussion. Be cool & enjoy the promo's, if you can. |
