So I recently put a rider comfort kit on my '06, and have to say; wow, what a difference it makes. In the morning rides my fan never comes on, afternoons it only comes on if I make stops on the way home. The fan usually comes on when I shut down in the morning and mid ride on the way home, not to mention the felt heat is way down. If anyone was thinking about getting one I highly recommend it! Josh |

Agreed. The comfort kit makes a huge difference in felt heat and I'd guess your fan will live a 75% longer life. One of the best things I've added to my bike for sure. |

HD has had them on backorder for 2 months now. I can't wait to get one for her. |

Got mine from American Sportbike, awesome service, speedy delivery. I think they are sellin the kit for $140, well worth it, fan hardly comes on anymore and no more "hot pockets" |

Since I put mine on a couple years ago it seems like the fuel rails, frame, are hotter. |

I installed the comfort kit on my 08 XT shortly after I bought the bike. I also installed the front part of the Odie's Heat Blanket and then installed the EBR ECM, which changes the fan program. Between those three items, engine heat is no longer an issue, even on the hottest days in Minnesota ( I know, I know, but it does get kind of warm here once in a while? ) |
