so i ordered a 1250 from nrhs. long story short i got both cylinders and pistons in. but when i put the rockers on the push rods theres a gap between the panel and the top of the head. pretty sure i have the rods as low as they will go. dont wanna bolt it on until i solve this. is it ok to go ahead and tighten it down. manual doesnt give any info upon this subject. any of you guys happen to come across this. would love to go ridin this sunday |

Have you rotated the crank to TDC for the cylinder in question to get the lifters on the cam base circle(zero lift)? (Message edited by Jramsey on June 01, 2012) |

"have it at tdc of the intake stroke" Each rockerbox needs to be installed on its cylinder at TDC of the compression stroke so both valves are closed otherwise the lifter will not be on the cams base circle(zero lift). |
